Michelle, just ignore the haters cuz some people aren’t happy unless they’re bringing others down or putting them down. Plus they forget some artists lose their voices and it’s not always an age thing. I love Madonna too for 39 years and finally got to see her live for her 40th anniversary greatest hits tour and of course people tore her down for how she dressed cuz of her age? If you don’t like the person DONT watch them or go somewhere that there’s fans of that artist just to be hateful. I’ve never understood it. Maybe it’s cuz I’m going to be 50 soon and didn’t have the internet when I was in my teens lol, but I’ve seen people much older than me being vial too. Either way, I love Cyndi, always have and always will. I hope to be able to afford to go to the Farewell Tour ❤

Yeah, that's not what happened at all. No musician, no matter how good, can tell what tune the guitar is playing in when all the performers on the stage rely on ear monitors for audio feed of the mix. She was either singing out of tune because she couldn't hear the mix in her earpiece or she was just singing out of tune.

Mumbling into the microphone, no projection, back up singer had to help bring her up. Guitar was definitely too loud in the mix, but maybe because she can't project her voice through the mix, not sure turning up her microphone would help, sooner or later it will cause distortion and feedback. You actually have to sing into the microphone for it too work.

@@KristenBray-mt6ig It is sad, but why do we consider it sad? It becomes sad if an artist "performs beyond his or her performances" I think, for a lot of artists, it is (long)time to call it a day but moreover: their audience to grow up and stop pretending that everything in life must go on for ever and forever. Let our recollections of the eighties in our minds prevail above the unstoppable desire from people keeping seeing those - once brilliant - artists. When is an artist allowed to go with pension is the direct question here? Not at 71, obviously. Not by herself, not by the audience who is strangely denying this is a horrible performance from someone way way overdue her artistic and physical strenght and worthyness.
@thomaskamphuis2586
@thomaskamphuis2586 2 ай бұрын
@@KristenBray-mt6ig One more remark: why is it, in the western world, we never seem to want to grow up? Why is it such a terror to embrace Autumn or Winter in our life? Is life obliged to us to go on forever and ever? Sometimes it seems that way, considering your remark. And I find that strange. (Freddy Mercury once sang: Who wants to live forever?)

Frustrating and infuriating. The entire song she was trying to slow the band down. Bring the guitarist up front to try to rhythmically sync up and even emphasizes that “the drummer is out of time.” Lol which all the band members definitely heard in their IEMs. She’s amazing, pitch perfect, timing is perfect, absolutely incredible to watch in the studio. There’s nobody like her, and never will be again.

After all the amazing music not just to listen to but the best music to dance to in the 80's, the music that started in the mid 90's up till 2024 is complete garbage, not just music but movies, cars and people are decrepit.

The fact there’s the delay in her vocals, and by the empathy in the comments, it gives me great hope that humanity can care and support each other. Thank you. I’ve always loved this song and Cyndi Lauper has been a tru gem forever. Love the authentic beauty and timeless heartfelt sound. 🙏✨💞🪞🧿💎🫧
