WOW!!! So you just blew my mind with the protectants. I have low porosity hair and I have the Kenra hot spray but stopped using it and used a dry spray which I just realized is oil based and didn’t realize it contributes to my hair getting oily fast after a few days of silk pressing. I guess I’ll go back to the Kenra... I really like their products as well.

I have very fine, thin hair. I do color my hair and feel that my ends just can’t be repaired. Even if I get a nice cut and color it still feels damaged. I have wavy/curly hair, 2a/2c curls. I have been recently started the curly girl method and my hair just feels horrible....I was thinking that what you were describing about Revive product fits my hair type. Are these products only for AA hair? I am pretty sure I do have high porosity hair with the cuticle open. Thank you for any advise you can give me.

This was super informative. Thank you so much! So, let me make sure I understand correctly. I have thick, relaxed hair. It's dry and I have to wash my hair weekly as it will start to shed if I put off washing it for more than a week. My hair is always shiny and silky when I go to the salon. When I flat iron it myself, it's somewhat frizzy and not shiny. I use a BabyLiss Pro Prima3000 flat iron, Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner, and Chi styling products. Would you say I have high porosity hair? Would you recommend the Kenra moreso than the Joico for me??
