@@IamCynDoll The breakage occured about 2 years ago. I was pregnant,had lots of migraines and headaches so I didn't want my hair to be touched for a while.(2 months without combing nor braiding the hair,it was a matted mess) I had shorter hair in that area after that

So I have 3 babies(all 3 years and below) which makes caring for my natural hair super hard. I don't want to damage my hair so I was wondering what your thoughts are on locs. Could you please help me know the best way to have locs and care for them properly? And what hair practices to have if I decide to go through with it.

I’m not the best person to ask about locs. I’ve always believed locs are a spiritual style. You’re holding on to all the hair the body wants to release. I think that’s a personal decision that children can’t make for themselves yet.

The ones we have here are the ones who learned how to blowdry and braid hair from other braiders and know nothing about the science of hair. And the locs are installed using either gels or wax which isn't encouraging in the slightest.

Well I’m not just a cosmetologist I’m also a research scientist and herbalist so they shouldn’t be expected to know what I know. You must learn your body first , know how your body functions, what it needs and then search for a specialist in the thing you need. All professionals are not the same take your time and find what you need.

@@IamCynDoll I have binge watched a lot of your videos and learned a lot about my hair. Where am at people don't even know what how to do silk presses. It's a blowout followed by applying grease on the scalp and hair then go back in with the blow-dryer to get the flat iron look. I have tried to look for a professional who cares about hair and scalp and I found none. The ones we have are just hairstylists to make you look cute for now and bald eventually. They have those tight ponytails and braids that look painful
