I think I'm of the same sort of mindset as RoadRunner here, so just read his comment again and pretend I wrote it.😁🦊 I will just add - I feel this album, concept aside, is highlighting Su-metal's vocals more than anything and possibly more than has been the case in the previous albums - they each had maybe three or four songs that really did that, this one so far every song has done it.

How many people were holding their breath, as Su's note went higher and higher, and waiting for the beat to drop?... I didn't start breathing again until the instruments kicked back in. Seriously, i think Babymetal has been taking lessons from edm tracks on when to drop the beat... not that many bands, especially metal, is so good at building up that anticipation before dropping the beat, no one does it as well as Babymetal. And Moa coming in with that vocal and choreography. beautiful. 😅🤘🦊🤘

To be completely honest, "Light and Darkness" is far, far away from my comfort zone, musically speaking (I used to be a metal elitist so, you need to understand my point of view). With that said, the first aspect that stands out here are Su-metal's amazing vocals, a bit overproduced on the studio recording, but I can live with it. At least, until we get the actual live version (or I see them live, which is more likely to happen sooner). But today I was picking several cool aspects that I really enjoy. Like the build-up, that unexpected high note during the chorus, the double bass pattern, etc. and the song slowly started to grow on me (not my first time being there and I don't freak out) until I finally felt the emotional connection with the song (I know, I'm picky). So, I'm very happy right now and I can't wait for the album release... specially because of "METALIZM". 😁 Until next time!

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I assume Amuse is currently releasing MVs with live footage + studio sound, in other words "imperfect live video", on purpose, because they have to block their "real live videos" by copyright strike in order to sell them in a form of Blu-ray/DVD. After the two-year long hiatus, this is a good tool to remind people of the attractiveness of BABYMETAL and gain new fans, I believe. I guarantee that the real audio has more power to stir your feelings. I witnessed this performance last month and was mesmerized at the venue. Although I could not digest everything at the live debut, I finally grasped its artistry as a whole by this MV. This song reminds me of something but it is very difficult to explain it. The part with Su's calm voice makes me uneasy about something. The part with her powerful timbre and decisive facial expression together with sharp moves by Moa and Momoko makes me decisive for something. The problem is "what the hell is my 'something' ?" Please stop shaking and teasing my emotions, BABYMETAL! 😡 😄

Great reaction, and yes, I agree with you, definitely a song that gives you good feelings . The courography is great, and I love Moa's vocal part, then that little hip movement Moa and Momoko do while looking at each other just after that looks cool . Su's vocal performance was amazing she just continues to impress me more. When the first snippet of this song was released, I wasn't too interested in it. But hearing the song in its entirety and choreo, I love it. Even after all this time, the choreo is still new and different. Mikiko-sensei is really a phenomenon when it comes to creating choreo for so many different groups and none of them are the same. That's creative genius right there. Glad you did this song and how it impacted you so much.

I think the title fits perfectly. As positive as it can make you feel, it is also accompanied by a slightly dark/melancholic touch throughout. I'm still hoping they have a crazy fun heavy song and one fun light hearted song that shows their personalities more. This song is another beautiful one with Su really shining. Smooth like butter. Hearing Moa makes me happy. I really hope she has more lines though in at least one song. I know that isn't her focus personally, but she can sing and her voice is pure joy too. Can't wait for more and I pray they tour the US soon. 🤘🦊🤘
