AJ is one of my favorite characters. She’s the lesbian mom friend that holds people accountable for their bullshit (my headcanon and plenty of others’ headcanon as well). Her parents died when she was young and her character is an amazing depiction of how someone can be after loss of a loved one. She has anxiety, she’s overprotective of her sister, she has trouble accepting help from others because she feels obligated to take care of everything, and she tends to overwork herself. She’s probably the mom friend because she was forced to grow up so fast. I love her so much. 😭

Pinkie canonically has adhd for me, the ep where she thought everyone hated her for not talking to her, but the friend’s was planning her birthday. I remember this one episode in FIM where there were a whole ton of copies of Pinkie Pie, and the way they found the real pinkie was to make them watch paint dry and the ones who lost focus were the fakes. And I just remember how determined Pinkie was, she wanted to be with her friends again so he put aside her impulses in order to do so. I never liked how they made her element be laughter, I felt it kinda did her a disservice because of how flat it made her seem even though she is always unapologetically herself.

Honest, I'd be hard pressed to pick *one* favorite, but I've always had things in common with Twilight, Pinkie, and Fluttershy. The thing that always struck me about Pinkie at the time was how much of the time fanworks failed to understand Pinkie's *thing* with her powers. So much fic had her doing random things because random..... but that's *chaos*. Pinkie's power is *laughter*. The whole point of Pinkie's weird abilities is that she can do whatever she wants... as long as it's *actually funny*. Which is super important in a social group story like FIM. Anyway, Pielight was always a good pairing in fanfic and fancomics, so it's cool to see it popping up again.

I can't decide which one is better. THEY'RE BOTH GOOD. And you're so right about Pinkie, like it literally shows in the final episode of season 3 that EVERYONE in Ponyville will just be angry and miserable without Pinkie Pie. SHE'S THE REAL GOAT OF THE SHOW. I can't wait to see either Fluttershy or Rarity in the next one. My personal 2 favorites cause I relate to Flutters being a shy introvert and Rarity being the best dramatic queen.
