Why newbie make huge losses on trade is because investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. that will stop you from trading, this has been one of the biggest problem to new traders, I've learned this from my own experience.

Or would the incentive be to : Attack it. Thwart & frustrate access to, and use of that asset. Find & support competing assets And vice-versa. If the USA buys BTC then the incentive for the adversaries (R, Ch, N Korea, etc) is to harm that asset. Let’s say I am your opponent. I buy up a stockpile of Copper because I speculate that copper price will be much higher next spring. (You have no pressing urgent need for copper. And if you did find a need, you could use a competing metal for your project.) So - what is your incentive? Do you say : “Gosh, I better go help that enemy of mine. I better do my bit to pump up the price of copper !” Or do you say : “I’m gonna burn down his stockpile. FUD the usefulness of Cu. Flood the market with supply. Promote my fave metal.” Where do the incentives lie ?

Ryan, David. These are not “Strategic Assets.” Nobody **needs** to hold any digital asset. You do need uranium, copper, oil, wheat & rice. You don’t need BTC or ETH, or any other. In fact, if Country A buys Asset X, then Country B is completely incentivized to : 1. buy a different Asset 2. see that Country A’s asset declines and fails. My goodness. So, the USA buys BTC. Are you saying that China & Russia now say, “Hmm, let’s see how we could help the USA. Let’s buy the asset they are in, ahead of us. To help pump their bags.” Geezuz Ryan. Politicians fall for this. I didn’t think you guys would.

As per the MIT Paper (DCI), we know the defence of PoW network is : “The prohibitively high cost of attack.” We need to make it so expensive to attack that it’s absolutely not worth it. Beyond reach. The entire point of mining is to spend money. Miners acquire the two external resources - ASIC’s and Electricity. The attacker needs to acquire these also (get control of ~ 51% of this amount.). How do we prevent that, in a decentralized system ? The Cost of Attack needs to be so prohibitively expensive - relative to the Rewards for Attack - that they won’t try. You need the Security Spend to be as high as absolutely possible. The network needs to incentivize and pay for as much mining activity as humanly possible. The last thing on Earth you’d ever want is cheap ASIC’s or Electricity ! The attacker has access to the same resources as the honest miners. You don’t want to make it **cheaper** for him to attack. Security : It’s not the *presence* of some Mining that provides security. It’s the *amount* of mining activity. The current security spend has been approx $30 Million per day. (See Blockchain , com). But imagine if only $100k a day was spent on mining. It would be trivial to attack. Would someone borrow $100 k, to make $10 Million profit after a successful one day attack ? Absolutely ! BTW the profit potential is when the coin DROPS in price. The attacker Shorts the coin - profit when it goes down.

"Currency backed by bitcoin" completely misses the point of bitcoin: that money shouldn't be something that relies on ANY third party backing. There will never be a bitcoin standard for the same reason that the gold standard either failed or was a fraud from the beginning. You can't trust "government", to back your currency, or for anything for that matter, and if you think you can you're a moron. The very idea is ludicrous that the folks at the receiving end of money printer go brrr would ever go back to any hard money standard. They will run it till it breaks, count on it. Bitcoin is plan B. Not a fix for plan A. Bitcoin (and crypto and defi more broadly) are developing as a REPLACEMENT system for fiat (and by extension government as we know it) and will never "fix" it. The government is a criminal racket. It's not "us", "we", or "ours". Please. The "national debt" is as fraudulent as the fiat monetary system itself. Crypto is here to end it all as far as I'm concerned. Sure, it's smart for the government (the crony-corporate military-industrial-media-intelligence complex that demonstrably weaponizes all technology in war against freedom and all people) to acquire and hold bitcoin rather than faulty assets. I thought she basically dodged or didn't make sense when pressed where the money will come from to acquire $60B of bitcoin. If the answer was that the government should sell gold certificates at going market rate, then the question should be addressed what happens to the market, especially considering the signal it send to the rest of the world. Would the certificate price maintain a peg with physical? What kind of slippage would there be on the "book value" of those certificates vs if you actually tried to realize that value? The value of bitcoin, were something like this to occur, is inestimably high, surely in the 10's of millions or more at today's purchasing power, because every country on earth would then feel pressure to acquire a percentage of the supply, and there is not enough to go around.

fisical comodity like gold it centraliced intermediary by the monopoliy of violence. bitcoin it's not easy to hack. gold future share had been hack long ago. bitcoin node its not that easy to make civil attack because it can be see big data and ips. node keep being permisionless differently than other staking. by separating from mining. there are no such thing as something not postencially able to hack.

This usually leads various commentators to claim that fiat isn't anchored by or pegged to anything. This is not true. Fiat's value is pegged to courts and guns. It's pegged to violence. Max Weber taught us that the nation state has the only legit monopoly on coercion and violence. We peg fiat to that.

Y'all recently talked to Paul Ryan who said a whole lot of the exact same kinda stuff that Sen. Lummis here is saying BUT he ONLY said it about USD pegged stablecoins. That guy has some inkling of the kinda fire he's playing with here. Trump, Robert Kennedy and Sen Lummis apparently think that crypto will be a thing for libertarians and will usher in a nice new little libertarian epoch of civic freedom and make everything better for Americans or some other national populace. Nahh, bruh. crypto is stronger than they think it is. If the nations of the world are lucky, by 2075 or something they'll still be around as hollowed out shells and quasi-geographical expressions, old dinosaurs overshadowed by a whole bunch of new states organized along new lines. The Russians are going to let their people use crypto to circumvent sanctions against them levied in response the their shitty offensive war vs. Ukraine. It's going to work, too. The sanctions will be defeated. The sanctions levied by the United States and its allies. Crypto can do this; it will do this....to the benefit of the Russians, THIS time. THIS time, the US is going to get a Russian thumb shoved in its eye. What about next time? Hmmm? Who's going to get f'd next time, which pack of bureaucrats, judges, cops, and pols installed, maintained, and tolerated by a pack of sheep? The Russians, maybe? Wouldn't that be a laugh?
