I'm personally a fan of the theory that Cypher is Omegon. It's the perfect cover for a primarch who has to help the Imperium, but also influence his fallen legion. There's no way Omegon is walking around looking like an Alpha Legionaire. I think he wants to return to the Emperor and pledge his allegiance anew and awaken the loyal Alpha legionaires beneath the palace. It also makes some poetic sense to me. The primarch of the last legion disguised as a member of the first.

So I'd like to make a clarification. In Luther novel "Luther: First of the fallen" the archtraitor himself does say that Corswain and Zahariel were seen combating each other but who came victorious from their battle was not clarified. Also Corswain is not stated to be the Dark Angel's first Supreme Grand Master as that role waa taken by Farith Redloss, voted commander of the Dreadwing. So Cypher's identity is a mystery with the most prominent candidates being Zahariel or Corswain. This claim seems to be supported by a quote in the "Unforgiven" novel where Cypher sees a champion of the Ravenwing using Corswain's sword amd adresses him:" I knew a great man who carried that blade. You better honour his memory" or smth similar I can't remember the exact excerpt. So it is either Zahariel thinking of Corswain or it is Corswain himself applauding himself.

In the novel Angels of Caliban he and Zahariel fight each other and Zahariel subdues him using his psychic powers and breaks his legs in order to see who he was. I remember he told his fellow librarians to get rid of the body afterwards

I hadn't heard of the theory that Cypher is Omegaron before. I quite like that if he picked up this role being a loyal son of the Emperor but needing to hide himself after the Heresy and this being the reasoning for the prophecy in the Alpharius primary book.

Forest walking is an ascendant ability, like Corvus's "turn into ravens" ability. No son of the primarch would inherit these abilities, at most they would have the lite version of wraith slipping, and never the ascendant ability. It's power level requirement is too high for normal astartes

He was about to kill emperor on terra, and the remaining custodes got a sms from big E and big E said to cypher not now. Cypher wanted to kill big e so he can ressurect and end chaos but big E said now is not the tome for that a little longer

One thing that was kinda wrong was that after the breaking of Caliban Corswain didn’t take over the dark angels, instead Farith Redloss leader of the dreadwing became the first chapter master. By all accounts Corswain disappeared after his battle with cypher. That’s why Corswain is probably cyphers most likely identity.

One has to agree with the fact that his modus operandi is more in line with the Alpha Legion than the Dark Angels…Alpharius was able to hide his true identity from the Lion, so it is possible that Cypher is not a Fallen Dark Angel at all…

The Dark Angels are also into clandestine operations, they sent a force to attack Terra and capture Cypther, those sent killed loyalist Marines and Custodes, had their markings removed, and used melta bombs on their own dead to hide their actions. Also Cypher clearly has the same forest walking ability we saw The Lion use recently.

I personally believe Cypher is Zahariel. He is an insanely powerful Psyker, and one who is loyal to Caliban and the Primarch above all else. I believe he is a perpetual much like Gramaticus, and was gifted powers and knowledge from the Watchers and the Cabal. Who learned there lesson with Gramaticus and Alpharion Omegon, who didn't heed there warnings and instead chose to follow other plans and ideals. Cypher is the embodiment of the Order, and the Knights of Caliban, and with the return of Lion El'Johnson, Zahariel will finally show himself to his brother Azrael, and his mentor and father figure the Lion.

8:06 is this true and verifiable Remebrancer? Is so I knew it!!! There was no other named dark angles left at the end of heresy that was more than capable of filling the lions shoes. Corswain is such a badass who better to serve as the first supreme grandmaster of the chapter as lord seneschal of the dark angels legion Corswain knew his gene father would never have allowed Gulliman to break up his legion so enshrined that the unforgiven chapters would be a legion in all but name.

Just one suggestion. I think for future videos it would be great if you got all facts before recording. Zahariel wasn't Lord Cypher until much much later. In fact, only after Zahariel fell to Chaos, he killed the original Cypher and assumed the mantle. In your video you make it sound as if he was Cypher from the start, which simply isn't the case. What is true thou that the identity of the current Cypher is shrouded in mystery, and Zahariel is a hot contender (for the aforementioned reason), although he was presumably killed by Corswain, which would mean it cannot be him (other candidates are Corswain, or if you want to go all tinfoil mode Omegon from the Alpha Legion)

I enjoy warhammer alot. Grew up with horned rat amd dark omen on ps1, someone should mod that... amd listen to alot of 40k at work...but, but, Luther is sad. How did the Lion not sniff that out? Why does Luther wear astartes armor when he is not an astartes? Why did Azreal protect Luther? Never. Don't make sense. Luther is not Typhon or Erebus, maybe Kor Phearon. He's another bunch of issues.
