People started saying Denis is weak and he is done only because he lost to Devon lol. Truth is Devon is really strong and Denis is still a beast. Everyone forgot him stonewalling Kurdecha and Morozov a year prior to Devon's match. Haters would do everything to downplay Devon. Also, Denis was actually quite hard to pin in first and third round for Devon, he had an incredible defense. However, defending is not the right thing to do against Devon, and also Devon come prepared and with a plan. If Denis trains smart he can still hit top 5 in my opinion

When he lost center against Devon, why didn't Denis use queens move? Because Denis, for the whole 2023, had hips pain, and wasn't able to perform at 100% (talking by a technical point of view). Was his backpressure, which is the only thing that he has just used to pull in 2023, still strong? Yes. Ofc. For sure not like during the peak, but still pretty strong. But still a very bad version of Denis. You can't make comparison on practice pulls. Stop talking about practice pulls. Watch them for entertainment, not for making predictions/statements/analysis. If Denis hasn't fixed hips pain, and he can't hit sideways with sidepressure (in both press and hook) just like he used to, and can't transition from a losing open toproll to a king/queens move to a flop wrist press, nothing will change from 2023. If Denis can't transition well on the table of the main stages, he will still be in a bad shape.

the reason dennis has a hard time gripping high isn't just the absolute size of his hand, the dimensions are not standard, the distance from his pointer finger knuckle to the base of his thumb is unusually long proportionally to normal hands, the opponents grip much deeper into his hand than normal so he has to drop his knuckle to get a "fair" grip.

That the distance between the index knuckle and the thumb knuckle is much longer than usual. This allows him to get much more deeper grips, but also because of his big hand, he has to lower it down to make it fair according to the rules (your opponent's thumb knuckle can't be covered). This is why he is forced to grip low. Stop talking about what you don't know.
