Cypress Park neighbors call for change after "constant" car crashes along their streets

Crashes like the ones that have destroyed three of of Aaron Hilliard's cars have become an expectation rather than the traditional surprise for a Cypress Park neighborhood. Lesley Marin reports.

A red light about to turn green needs to be delayed by another one and a half to two seconds everywhere for those last split second red light runners . Not to mention some intersections are wider which requires more time to safely clear when the light becomes yellow .

Speed limit reduced to 10 mph , if both drivers fail to reduce their speed both get a ticket and if both drivers total their vehicles suspend their license temporarily and if the drivers crash again revoke their license

That is a beautiful area of old Los Angeles. It's just North of Downtown LA. Unfortunately, many bottom feeders live in the area. I'm sure many of the people causing the accidents have previous DUI's and recent criminal records. Another consequence of soft on crime enforcement policies.

His car hit a month ago is still parked on the street? They speak of multiple wrecks like it’s a weekly thing but show the same one video five times and one other picture. This in a day and age of everyone’s phones glued to their hands and cameras everywhere on buildings? Makes it appear not as bad as they claim.

Video footage showed two cars being struck by the semi-truck, one of which was an SUV. The grill from the SUV was found attached to one of the back of the vehicles left at the scene. The SUV was completely totaled and couldn’t be photographed. There were multiple accident photos attached. Maybe check the video out again

It's important to remember that the people involved have families and are facing more than just the loss of their vehicles. Let's focus on supporting them and holding the responsible parties accountable, rather than shifting blame onto those affected.
