The yellow MEU1 has now been superseded by the Biometric card which costs €30. There is a long wait though to get the card after you have been to immigration. They of course give you paperwork as proof/receipt. Anyway Rico your channel is very good. I enjoy your videos giving concise "grass roots" information. I have just left the UK as the place is now in terminal decline. It's falling to pieces on many levels. I bought a villa in 2017 long before Brexit and this has worked well in my favour. I could see what was happening to England as needed an exit strategy. Cyprus is perfect. It's like the UK used to be in the 60's. Charming and free. The value of these attributes are of immense worth to me. Here we have Low traffic. Low crime. Good weather. No CCTV/ANPR/20 MPH limits, In the UK we have Low emissions zones, congestion zones, red route zones, useless cycle lanes that have caused gridlock, red light cameras, low traffic neighborhoods (LTN's), chicanes, yellow boxes at junctions, etc etc. The UK is now pretty much a police state. It's like Orwell's 1984!! London is under constant surveillance. There are millions of cameras. The M@arxist Mayor Kahn is installing thousands more cameras to make sure the proles comply!! Soon the UK will rigidly enforce the new WEF driven "15 minute city" which in effect is an "open prison". They are going to trial it in various English towns very soon. Facial recognition will control all movement of people. Car use will be priced out. They want people to stay where they are and be under full AI control. Maybe the above will happen in Cyprus but for now it is perfect for me!!!

Second, also thanks for the kind words, I put a lot of effort into this channel, and I'm glad when people compliment my work. Third, I absolutely agree. Having read Orwell in school a few years ago, I laughed about it, not realizing that we might run into this exact dystopia in a near future. @@Rico Thanks! The UK is now under Globalist (communist) control. The future is not very attractive as I said per above. Cyprus is very free and easy. If you have just enough money to live a decent life it's pretty much perfect. I could see the market was undervalued in 2017 so bought a Villa in Pissouri village. This is a lovely place. Keep up the good work!!

Huge knowledge for only 10 minutes videos amazing keep up the good work man, i was in Cyprus 2019 for my army duty I lived in a Nicosia army base for about 6 months and I fall in love with the island and up this day I live in the UK Birmingham and I’m planning to move back for ever. Hopefully this year with my girlfriend we love your channel we learn a lot and most important you give us hope about Cyprus. Wow, what an excellent video that was today. A lot of people are searching all over the world to find a nice comfortable tax efficient place to move to. I think you forgot a few of the other benefits that Cyprus offers. A big plus for many people would be the fact that practically the majority of people in Cyprus speak English. Greek is a hard language to learn, it's like a level four similar to Hungarian, turkish, Hebrew, etc. Certainly not an easy language like French, Spanish, Italian Romanian etc. The weather is excellent, the people are extremely friendly good healthcare because of the touristic nature of the country. And above all, because the country is within the European Union, if something unexpectedly goes wrong, you have redress to the European Union directly. The country must follow the directives of the European Union and that's important. You know a lot of people look at other places to go such as the UAE. This is run by One dictator, who can change his mind tomorrow and deport you immediately, even for no reason. Corruption and crime are other issues. Cyprus has relatively low corruption, which you can view at the corruption perception index which is published yearly. Crime is very low, and people are just generally honest, and righteous. It is also a very religious country which enshrines high levels of morality to the population. All of these attributes are integral to the quality of life of a person living in a particular country. You also neglected to mention the excellent flight connections throughout Europe with two convenient airports in the country. Many flights can be taken for 30 to 50 euros with low-cost airlines such as Ryanair, easyJet, and wizzair. Also when you get a cell phone plan, your phone will work in all European countries with free roaming throughout the European Union. You also will be able to get as part of your social services, not only the local socialized healthcare plan called gesy, but the European healthcare card called ehic which can be used while traveling throughout Europe enabling you to get free healthcare in every European country. Many cruise ship operators are now going to Cyprus, and there is a ferry to Greece.

Hi Rico, really like your videos, I moved from the UK to Hong Kong for lower taxes and a better lifestyle this year, but I'm looking at moving again to Cyprus in 1-2 years for better weather and EU access! thats total bs. if you are an eu resident you absolutely dont need to become a cyprus resident first. right of free movement guaranteess - as the name says - free movement within the eu. every eu citizen can move to cyprus and start work/business/rent whatever imeadetly. after 3 months you have to register yourself to the cyprus autorities, but the point is that you can legaly start imeadetly
