finding amazing that nobody talks about the PERFECT solo by Roy Hargrove. Roy just plays the TRUTH every time he blows his horn.

+drlluc goes without saying, Roy crushes anything he touches.
@TehWinnerz9 жыл бұрын
+drlluc when you say "the truth" what exactly do you mean?
@matthewjbegue8 жыл бұрын
+drlluc 2010 Roy Hargrove is perfect. Roy Hargrove today: not so much. It's incredibly sad to see the path he's been going down.
@TheJazsinger8 жыл бұрын
I don't understand what you are saying. Roy Hargrove is perfect, but today not so much? So when was he perfect? Thought you were referring to this piece. What path is he going down anyway?
@matthewjbegue8 жыл бұрын
Yeah I was referring to this video. Great stuff. But if you see Hargrove live today, not so much. His range is completely gone. Solos are unimaginative. He leaves the stage while his band plays their solos. There are lots of rumors of hard drugs. And he was arrested last year for buying cocaine. Sad to see.

Should be a classic that all kids study in their teens Might be a way into melody, HARMONY and technique that serves the artistic whole. God bless you Roy, saw you in Brecon, Wales, around 1990 with Antonio Hart. Never forgotten the energy and musicality of that gig. Love from the UK- Sonny Rollins had you right. You were up there with the best. For the love of you and your family, don’t think you’re alone and unforgotten. You’ll always be with us. ❤️

She's no ella but she's good AND this is a good performance of a great standard. Let's share love instead of vindictiveness. Make jazz last with love!!!
