Dont get me wrong I love the rhythm sections playing but the appeal of tiny desk to me is hearing different artists and their group. I really like his playing but am curious about the miking. You can feel a clear change in timbre when he moves closer and further away, or pointing slightly away from the mike - is it something to do with the mike itself, or does he just wave the horn around more than most players?
