Kirbie Johnson Yes, please! Also--and I think it's worth mentioning--Claire has a new KZbin channel @clairewineland. She mentions she no longer has access to the The Clarity Project channel as the company wrongly took all rights and profit that came with it. You may find Claire's video explaining this here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJbKaWabnsxjeKc Perhaps you could pin her new KZbin channel where people can see so that you direct people the right way. The circumstance is unfortunate but we ought do what we can to help!

My bestfriend Hannah has CF and we did the EXACT same thing hiding in the hospital. I used to only hide behind the chair when the RT came in because they wouldn't wake us up through the night, until one day I got caught and Hannah tried to say I was a doll. From then on I hid in the shower. The CF community is so so wonderful and I've got so many amazing memories, so glad Claire is bringing light to the cystic fibrosis world and community!

"Paying rent thinking that I don't have enough money in my account to pay rent is a million times more terrifying than death"
@crystalxoxox76917 жыл бұрын
Az Viqar that was such a triply thing to hear for me... here I am for the last week trying to figure out what I need to cut out of my fortnightly budget so I can afford rent, which bills need to be paid first, and which ones can wait, then there's the food for my pets and then the very minimal food for me And it's going to be like that for another month or 2 yet and it's not even really stressing me out because I've grown up in a family who was always short on money, with low paying multiple jobs for MONTHS at a time Im only 19 in 6 months, too... (I've been living out of home since I was 17, though) And to hear that death seems less terrifying than not having enough money in your account to pay rent...it's such an odd concept lol

Hey! I'm a twenty year old girl with CF, from Sweden. I think you are amazing in so many ways Claire. The only thing i miss when you talk about CF is that you say "CF is like this...". CF is very different from person to person and maybe you could say, "for me, CF is like this..." or "CF could be like this..." you know? All CF awareness is good, and I'm so happy you are doing this. But it's easy for people who is learning about the disease to think that it always looks the same.

@@alejandra-mv7lx this is true that you are born with cystic fibrosis but there a lot of cases where people dont get diagnosed until later on in life. in my clinic my doctor was extremely excited to tell me about his new patient who had just been diagnosed at 50. it just means there are different genes and different bacteria cf'rs can catch so people who dont show symptoms until later on is still somewhat new and normal

@bobthabuilda15257 жыл бұрын
I love her out look and the positive spin she puts on everything, it's truly very inspiring. However, as someone who suffers from depression, it also makes me a little nervous, because I know how many ignorant family members or friends are going take her beautiful message and use it to shame their sick/depressed loved ones who aren't as sunny as her. That's obviously not her fault, but it will happen. "Look how much worse she has it than you, but you don't hear her complaining." As much as we would all love to be like Claire, the truth is that most of us don't have a choice in how we react to things like this. Someone like myself, who is prone to depression, has to deal with hormone and brain chemistry imbalances that will never let us be this optimistic, no matter how much we wish we could be. So please, if you take anything from her, don't let it be that everyone should be as sunny or accepting as her. We all deal with things differently, and we have no choice in it.
@stardolphin7832 жыл бұрын
Thank you, you finally said that. I dont blame her, but this is why i dont talk about her to ceartain people. I wish i could without them saying that she has it worse than me so i should be like her, enthusiastic and sunny. I also know she has her days, or had, she has said that what she shows is not the full story on her insta, where she sometimes ranted about her own crisis moments

Is N-Acetyl Cysteine useful in this case? I read that it "N-acetyl cysteine helps treat collapsed lungs caused by mucus blockage."
@jimbrown98177 жыл бұрын
Yes, but Pulmozyme (dornase alfa) is more effective and doesn't smell awful. Although much more expensive, it is the preferred mucolytic in CF. Mucomyst [n-acetyl cysteine] is used often in severe asthma and COPD exacerbations and pneumonia. The mucus load in most CF cases requires the best possible therapy.
