I’m scheduled to have a Cystoscopy on December 13th. They found blood in my urine by chance during a random hospital visit back in September. Found your first video when searching about Cystoscopy. Kinda nervous. The reason for the scope is because the urologist said there is still blood in my urine as of yesterday, but my kidney tests and scans and prostate are fine. Glad I’m getting this taken care of now to rule out anything, but overall still nervous man. Thanks for sharing in detail what it’s like and for opening up about the results.

I can relate to your experience. I had softball size benign tumor on my left kidney. They couldn’t get tumor out without taking the kidney as it was so big. The incision was at least 12” long from my back to my waist. I was out of work for 4 months, never want to go through that again. Good luck on your recovery.

I can't thank you enough for sharing your cystoscopy experience with us. Listening to you talk about the procedure prepared me today for MY cystoscopy. I went into the room very calm, but I was still nervous. The only thing I was really nervous about was the thought of ANYTHING being stuck in my dick, but believe it or not, I didn't really feel pain. When the doctor shot the numbing medicine in my dick, I felt nothing. When the doctor stuck that long black tube with the camera inside my dick( that tube was long as hell), I felt no pain. On a pain scale of 1 to 10, mines was maybe a 2; it wasn't even uncomfortable. The only time I actually felt something was when that camera went between my prostate going into my bladder. It wasn't really a pain, it was just a weird sensation. Once the cystoscopy started, my procedure was completed in less than 3 minutes. So to sum it all up, my procedure went smoothly with no actual pain. Thanks again for helping me to get through this...😉😏👍

If you don't mind me asking what the symptoms for the were for the sitoscopy

The main reason they checked was because of my blood urinating. To check for bladder cancer

I'm glad that you are alive and well in retrospect. If you don't mind me asking, did your primary physician put you on any meds prior to sending you to the urologist? I ask because when I pissed about a month ago I noticed a little blood towards the end of the stream etc. My primary put me on antibiotics etc. Then also did an UA and Ultrasound of my kidneys and all came out negative. Maybe a little over three weeks later, no more blood...buuut went to the urologist days ago checked my testicles, no pain. And the the dreaded finger up the....no issues. I'm thinking I'm in the clear. He orders a CT scan for my Kidneys just to make sure, including the dye. And if needed, which I hope, not the Cystoscopy....sorry for the blah blah...just venting I suppose.

Good morning No worries at all for discussing your issues, it’s great that we all can connect and discuss issues. To answer your question, I did not receive any medication. They just assumed it was my kidney stones rubbing my kidney and cause some small tears, which resulted in blood coming out when I peed. Are you going to be going for a scope? Sounds to me everything is in the clear for you. Please keep me posted. Cheers.

@@bigcee2148 Big, thank you for not being rude and whatnot. Well, I thought I was in the clear especially with the battery tests etc. At the Urologist office, I peed in the cup and I guess he had the tools or lab in house because he said everything was clear. In addition he stated that the bleeding could have been from a UTI, a burst vessel etc. But he wants to make super sure and rule out cancer etc. in my bladder, prostate and other areas hence the CT Scan of my kidneys and the Cystoscopy. I'm trying to not Google everything, because I'm a bit panicked.

Evening Cee. Just wanted to follow up with you et. al. Had the Cytoscopy done early September and....overall it wasn't that bad. I will say that the initial insertion was kinda WHOA, and then up to a certain about I felt pressure/pain, but it was maybe a 2/10. The actual procedure took maybe 45-60 seconds...I think. I'm in the clear, negative results literally as he placed the instrument down. I see him in a year as a follow up. Thanks again Cee.
