Few things surprise me about you anymore, and yet I was not expecting to hear about how were you suspected of being groomed by terrorists by the school system on my bingo card today. What HASN'T happened to you at this point? The Zelda vids are entertaining asl, your writing style has definitely gotten more personality over time but I can attest to putting my best foot forward when it's the things that I'm most passionate about. Really enjoyed the script in this video. Goes from 0 to 100 with the commentary in a matter of seconds and it's fucking great. It's interesting looking at the OoT bosses since this video really gives the perspective that they are just simple as shit like the Zelda 1 bosses. Or at least Morpha's simple fucking ass, the patreon parallel is spot on as is the entire segment.

FINALLY someone says twinrova is overrated. During the second phase you can literally just stand in one place and hold R. Yeah sometimes she switches up the pattern, but not really. I've beaten her a dozen times without her switching the element once. It's so boring.

Fun fact in the Ocarina of Time manga I owned as kid, Link actually buys and owns Volvagia as a baby and after the timeskip, it is corrupted and becomes the boss we know, Link cuts it's head off and before it dies it reverts to it's sane form and thanks Link for putting it down. Why a zelda boss is so dark and traumatic for no reason is beyond me.

I love Twinrova. Ugh, and Ganon is a massive disappointment. All the cunning approaches needed to get there and the final boss is "just hit him 'till he dies" with the added caveat of "you can't use your lowest-damage weapon on him until the end."

Great video, Alex! While OoT is my personal favorite Zelda game, I do think some other games (especially Twilight Princess) have the better boss rosters. OoT still has some decent bosses, though. This is my list: 1. Phantom Ganon 2. Barinade 3. Bongo Bongo 4. Ganondorf 5. Ganon 6. Volvagia 7. Twinrova 8. Gohma 9. King Dodongo 10. Morpha Phantom Ganon is definitely the most challenging boss in the game (he's not that hard but he at least puts up a decent fight compared to the others), and he's easily the boss I enjoy fighting the most. I'm definitely in the minority in placing Barinade so high. While the design of it isn't that great from an aesthetic standpoint, I do enjoy the mechanics of the boss. It's not very self-explanatory, but how it works is you need to destroy the jellyfish surrounding Barinade for its core to become vulnerable to stun. It's still a bit clunky and hit-or-miss in terms of execution, but I like it more than most of the other bosses. My hottest take might be placing Ganon in fifth place. I think the boss battle has the best atmosphere in the game, and, from a lore perspective, it's probably right next to Demise as one of the most important fights in the entire franchise. However, my opinion of the fight itself has dulled a bit with repeated playthroughs, and I honestly don't like it as much as the fights in some of the other games, such as The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and most especially A Link to the Past (that Ganon fight is probably my favorite final boss in the series). I do agree that Twinrova is overrated. The first time I played this game, Twinrova was one of the most memorable fights for me, but I subsequently came to view it as a bit tedious. Besides, they already made a superior Fire-and-Ice themed boss in A Link to the Past, Trinexx. One of the funniest things about Gohma and King Dodongo is that, as easy and simple as they are, their counterparts in the original Legend of Zelda were even more pathetic. Gohma died in literally one hit, and, for Dodongo, you just lay a single bomb in front of his path, and it kills him instantly when he walks into it. Lol. Then again, most of the bosses in the original Legend of Zelda are complete pushovers, whereas the game as a whole is one of the toughest entries in the series (a similar case to Crash Bandicoot 1). Morpha is definitely the most disappointing boss for me. Not only is it the weakest in terms of design, but it feels like a complete joke to fight (especially that far along in the game). Morpha kind of reminds me of Akmodan II (a mummy boss) from Symphony of the Night. It's a late game boss battle who you will likely kill in a matter of seconds due to your level and equipment at that point, but, if you allow him to grab you, he'll fling you into the wall, dealing massive damage. What's funny is he's generally one of the easiest bosses in the game, but he's one of the hardest for people who do weaponless runs because being forced to get in close to hit him makes it easier for him to grab them. Anyway, I'm enjoying your content as always and look forward to your future uploads!

Morpha is definitely the worst for me. If you use the right strats, you can take this boss out in less than 10 seconds. Such an underwhelming boss with an easy-to-exploit gimmick. And help you if you get caught in it's long-as-hell grapple attack.
