"I think his melee should do more damage" I've been saying that about Doomfist for years. In fact I think it would make sense for a few characters to do slightly more than the usual 30 damage with their basic melee. Hazard, Doomfist, Winston, Roadhog, and Genji all come to mind considering what their basic melee attack are.

He’s over-kitted as hell. A forward leap that doubles as a genji slash. A block that aim-locks to multiple targets at the same time. A mei wall that can also boop and deal damage. Finally a wall climb, and the hard cc ult that requires no LOS. WTF is blizzard smoking.

leap does not do that much. The block dmg is pretty good but it is only doing anything to people 5ft in front of you. The wall if fair because hazards damage potential is not high, and the ult traps people for barely a second. perhaps he is too strong (most feedback from people who played as him and against him say he feels good to fight and play), but if that is the case, it is really not by much. As far as release characters go, hazard is pretty good.

You realize he quite literally has the worst survivability out of every tank. He gains no shield or healing from his abilities and he only has one defensive ability that’s only good close range. It makes sense why he’s strong in other areas when he can be countered and killed easily.

You're better off keeping the setting toggled off. It makes it so you have to press it a second time to shoot, which wastes precious time in intense situations. It travels in a STRAIGHT LINE from the center of your reticle. No reason to nerf yourself with a bad setting design. If it was designed so you could see wall place by holding the button then fire on release, then it'd be better.

He seems fun, but he doesn’t seem that good. Almost seems like Doom, but better. I feel like he’d be countered by a lot of things once people get used to him. Definitely his strongest ability is his block. Insane tanking, insane DPS, but as is the age old tactic with such things, just ignore him and focus on the team and he folds. Supposedly his ult is blocked by shields and the like, so… You could go Winton or D.Va. Ram doesn’t seem like he’d do well. Hog might do well, though the block/escape he has is a problem. Rein is rein. Sigma is good for countering block, but it’s a resource block so… maybe? Doom could counter him (ironically), I believe… Orisa would eat him alive, because Orisa is Orisa, etc etc.

​@@FenekkuKitsune On paper it does seem like he'd feel more like Doom yeah- I initially thought so as well. I just thought the feeling I got trying him out was closer to a faster-paced JQ. Could also be that Hazard seems more oppressive against individuals/smaller groups while Doom excels at whipping a whole crowd of 5 people around. His optimal playstyle should become more apparent as more people get the hang him I reckon- it's nice seeing such a large amount of skill expression in a kit again.

Hazard does a lot of moving but he isn't hyper mobile like DF or any of the other Dive tanks. Imo he's honestly a Dva 2.0 where he can sit and hold space really well while having the mobility to jump on short to midrange targets that's out of position or turn and peel for his teammates as he'll most likely play closer to his team than other Dive tanks

Well his ult just only just traps enemies within the target area not stun them so technically it can’t cancel reaper’s ult but it can trap him not to get closer towards ur teammates however I would say a wall block deploy can definitely be effective against reaper as it can block reaper’s ult and boop him away from ur teammates, also I notice hazard ult starts from the skys so therefore it can be effective against fly heroes where he can rain spikes on them to get them fall down on ground and get trapped

Hazard looks too powerful. New design philosophy to just make tanks good at everything. Hazard has high mobility with a jump and wall climb, but he also has a wall to trap people and he has a root and he does damage while blocking. This game gets worse every character they add bruh. Mei has a wall to trap because she has lower mobility and range. Genji has no stun or root but high mobility. Rein has shatter but low mobility. Almost all tanks cant attack when defending. Shields dont do damage.
