Dan Lilja will be very happy to hear that a standard CZ Barrel outshot not one, but two of his match grade barrels. I just ordered two CZ Varmints while they're still in stock and available. Please bring back the Anschutz 1710 DKL, we miss it 😢

I've just started with this project. Give me a bit more range time 😅

@@22rimfireultra67 It won't be a fair test because the CZ Varmint could probably do much better as well with a bit more range time. I'm buying my two standard CZ Varmint "Lilja Killers" and I'm not lookin back. 🥳🎉

Ammo testing in the Eley family most likely. May try tuner testing this summer as well.

I have a factory CZ Varmint barrel that shoots very similar to the Lilja barrel I replaced it with.

Nice work, I expecting to see you shimming it up and watching the groups change as you varied the shims in the bolt😔 Oh well never mind. I will now see about those scope mounts 🤔

I enjoy watching your channel. I have the same Jard trigger, Ely headspace setup on a pair of custom CZ 457 Lilja 21" & 24" Shilen barrels. Are you going to test the same Tuners from your previous videos to see how they perform with the 26" barrel? The tuner on my 24" rig is outstanding. For me cleaning the chamber every 100 rd to eliminate carbon ring & running several dry patches down the tube is a must with custom match chambers. The firing pin mod is really good. Keeping the bolt clean & replacing the extractor & spring clip when the FTE starts is necessary. The down side of the CZ finding spare parts.

Yes I most likely will test the tuner on this rifle in due time. I still need to determine its potential as is without a tuner. So far, I like how it feels in hand and the replaced and added components seem to 'fit' in well.

Hi I noticed you use different rifle front rests do you have a favorite?

I believe that the Lapua you shot yesterday in the other rifle was better than the Eley rifle today. However, when you find what this one likes best, it may prove to be equal or better than the Lapua rifle. I think you'll have lots of fun finding out.
@22rimfireultra677 ай бұрын
Yes, the Lapua chambered rifle grouped slightly better. That is good for my friend. His is the Lapua build. The Eley build being mine I have very high hopes and expectations that it will come around with fouling and ammo trials 🤔🙃

What is the difference in the two chambers?

Excellent information on that question can be found on youtube channels such as 'Eagle Eye Shooting' and 'Pursuit of Accuracy', as well as the excellent book, 'Rimfire revolution'.

Super NIce Rifle! I must have missed the Lapua one 🧐😳 Gotta go back and find it. Nope I did see it haha 😂 Why is your scope out like that? I don't think I have ever seen that before 🥸🤓 I am very curious about this.
@22rimfireultra677 ай бұрын
Some 'pro' bench rest shooters use this scope set up. With very low ounce trigger pull, and super steady positioning with front and rear BR gear, they require minimal physical contact with the rifle. Only contact is finger on the trigger and maybe (yes/no) ultra-light stabilizing or counter squeeze thumb on the stock . No cheek or shoulder contact. Therefore, there is no need to 'hover' over the rifle during firing which could influence accuracy. This 3/4" offset offers less chance of unwanted contact.
