I have a few CZ rimfire rifles, I like them all. The nest one I'd buy will be CZ 457 MTR Varmint with 16 inch barrel. Thanks for this one Chris.

Hey :) Currently i'm only shooting pistols. But in the summer i want to get my first rifle :) Working up from 50 to a maximum of 300 meters. Is the accuracy of a good 22 LR rifle enough to hit targets at 300 meters? I thought its a good idea to start rifle shooting with a 22 LR cause the ammunition is cheap and its a way to get into "long range" shooting without spending 10k :)

Hi, I really like your explanation, your videos, it just makes me think that in this caliber the varmint barrel in 22lr doesn't matter as much as choosing the correct cartridge...is that what you think?

I really appreciate your reviews and especially your willingness to help other CZ customers. Watching your reviews I wonder how much prep you do tuning up the rifle to perform flawlessly during the reviews. I have purchased the Black Synthetic CZ 457 in Stainless barrel also. My issue and question is have you ever received or seen a CZ 457 with a really sticky bolt action? and if so what have you done about it. I am trying to get my new rifle registered with CZ-USA so I can return it for them to look at. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Nice one. Nice practical, versatile rifle. Looked a smooth bolt and clean feed. Agree, 16" would be pref, but glad they kept it handling like a proper rifle. I do think those rails are short though - a product of the short action and modular (cost saving) design. Modern scopes are now so long, especially with 100mm ER, gun manufacturers need to adapt and not rely on some clumsy aftermarket workaround. A compact 40/44mm would go well on it though. And creeping trigger? Ok they're not an 'expensive' gun, but CZ aren't cheap anymore either.

It only needs adjusting, it's really no issue, as explained in the video. KZbin have demonetised the video anyway so even talking about it has cost that penalty

Chris I know you say all 457 lr accuracy is about the same, but does the CZ evo 3 rimfire fall far short of the 457 out to 100 yards max when using SK max ammo or even the M&P 15-22 Performance Sport for that matter in your opinion.

Very nice rifle. Very quiet, sounds as quiet as an air rifle.
@chrisparkin431
@chrisparkin431 6 ай бұрын
Given the power output, it's comparatively very quiet compared to an airgun, cheaper to buy, cheaper to shoot, more accurate and consistent, lighter to carry, more shots in you pocket, reliable for decades, requires no o-rings.......other than that.

It seems that you are the only one who tests cz457 thorougly. I'm looking for minisniper competition rifle. Which means shooting 10-15mm steel at 40-50m. Shall I look for a match varmint or will this do the job. Considering that's only ten shots. I'm not sure if the barrel will get hot enough to affect accuracy.

Hi Chris, I see you use a surpessor on your field test of the 457, does this increase accuracy? I have seen videos suggesting these can diety and damage the barrel? Do you recommend using one and which one for cz 457?

@@chrisparkin431 That is not an answer. But since you say like that, I prefer consistency and accuracy, that is why 20" and longer is better, look at what bench rest competitors are using. If you want a short barrel get a pistol. Short rifle barrels is just a fad.
