Man that's a sexy gun! Mine is exactly the same, but without that suppressor and handguard. I have the same brace, same sight, same trigger upgrade, etc. I totally plan to get that same suppressor and handguard though when I can afford it, though I think I'm gonna get the shorter K version. As for the vertical foregrip, you actually CAN run a vertical-ish foregrip according to the ATF. Their own statement on what they consider to be a vertical foregrip said "a vertical foregrip is a grip placed forward of the trigger and that is at 90 degrees to the bore line". So as long as the foregrip is not exactly at 90 degrees to the bore, your fine! You can buy foregrip that are slightly angled back towards the trigger by 10 degrees or so, and your legal.

I got mine back 2 months ago from NFA Jail have yet to shoot it due to ranges being closed. All I can do is make upgrades here and there, waiting for my spring kit and trigger from HBI to arrive this week and have been waiting for that AK selector to be in stock.... Next on the list is that heat shield, thx for posting this.

I really enjoyed shooting an mpx after getting an ar15. Then I discovered innovative arms and the scorpion. I already like cz so it has now become my new "must be next gun" gun. I think I may do it the same route you did, starting with the kak flash can model with brace, then getting the kit. That way I can enjoy the little guy while I wait on my suppressor and other parts. Looks great like yours as is. Curious if you plan on painting it. Any short comings you've found or anything left to be desired?

You're on the same page, yes it's going to Cerakote soon. Planning on doing the plastic receiver and handguard in Sig Dark Grey to match my P10's. I think the only shortcoming is the gun is a little front heavy, it'd balance a little better with a heavier rear stock.

I’d love to build one of these for my wife’s home defense weapon. She is kind of “dainty” though haha what’s the overall weight? And it it front heavy or fairly balanced? Great video btw!

It's out at cerakote at the moment so I can't weigh it, but it is fairly front heavy with the can but with a light brace on the back.

How do you like the HBI duckbill magazine release? I'm debating between the aluminum and polymer versions. I'm leaning towards the aluminum version, but I'm concerned it may dig into the polymer of the magazines, and maybe the polymer of the trigger housing.

I like it. I swapped a magpul one in first and then switched to the hbi. Been using it since last summer and haven’t had any digging issues with the metal

Who makes the reinforced magazines that you are recommending? Awesome gun and video. I have most of the same upgrades from my Scorpion too. I don’t have the heat shield.

I'm pretty sure the reinforced ones are just the newer cz ones. Just go to the cz shop and they are in there.

The aluminum charging handles don’t mesh well with aluminum rails. With a plastic rail they’d be perfect. I’m not running stock safety selectors. I have the hbi ak style installed

Thank you for the video Zach. I am currently talking with Phillip at innovative arms about this very same pistol I’m in a bit of a quandary however. I understand that a form four takes approximately eight months to approve versus a month or less for a form one. In your opinion, if I were to purchase a standard CZ pistol, and the parts from innovative arms would that qualify as a form one? Next. Is the conversion something that you were able to do yourself? Or do you have to get a gunsmith to do it for you.

You still need to file a form 4 for the suppressor. You only form 1 suppressors that you manufacture yourself. Since this can is made by innovative arms, you need to file a form 4. You can file a form 1 and SBR your scorpion pistol or rifle though.

I would love to complete my Scorpion this way, but 6-8 weeks wait time on a $1300 upgrade? $700-$800 will get you the omega 9 supressor and the HBI Guard. its the same geometry (look) but yo can do it in a few days.

Yep. Before the panic buying the thought is you can buy cheaper 115 and still be comfortable. 124 is the sweet spot where normally you’d need 147+
