The 3/8" rimfire mounting slots has been the .22 rifle standard in the USA since some time in the 1950's. I am glad we are moving away from it, but it has long been the standard for .22 shooting.

Just curios,, the SMA4 AR appears to have a SME/Flash hider. I have SME on both AR 10.5" pistols. Significant sound suppression having measured 100 dbz max. with their use. That's roughly 85 dbz reduction. I went with the SBA4 for the wide cheek well after having 1st seen this video. I've subsequently ungraded both 10.5" Pistols, 7.62x39 with H3 (5.4oz) buffer weights; a southpaw having both left and right hand side charging pistols (one for Tonto) I'd like the brass going downrange range rather than into my breast pocket or BVDs, should I adopt a two gun approach, in the absence of Tonto.

@@ZackCarlson I figured it out. The Odin and Deep Six chassis both require a 12-24 x 1/2” screw. A normal 10/22 action screw is too long.

I'll give you an HONEST review of a brand new Vortex Recon R/T 15-50 Monocular without all the BULLSHIT HYPE and gifted product BIAS. First it needs to be said I am a HUGE Vortex fan. I have been amazed by Vortex products in the past. This Recon IS NOT ONE OF THEM. Firstly is the glass. On a cloudless day with very low humidity on a windy day I was not able to get "absolute clear focus" at any range with this monocular. The retical was able to focus with plenty of adjustment on both sides +or- but the objective was in a word AWFUL. SECOND was the CONSTANT NEED to micro adjust focus at minimal differences in distances. This is simply NOT optimal performance under ANY circumstance. Eye relief is ABYSMAL. You need to be almost touching the eye piece to view thru this device. Next is the belt clip. For a Vortex product of this price, this clip is something you'd expect to find on a Chinese clone NOT a genuine Vortex. At TWICE the strength it would STILL be too thin. If you can overlook these CATASTROPHIC shortcomings of this monocular and are impressed by reviewers who avoid telling you the TRUTH because they are PAID with free products or are too dumb to actually conduct a quality review...( either will cost you your hard earned cash and give you buyers remorse)....then pick one up... otherwise.. AVOID THIS SCOPE. Vortex does have the BEST warranty in the business and that does go miles generating them loyal customers including myself. I'm just surprised that for the price of this one sided binocular..... it is of such poor performance quality. Build is Vortex standard SUPERB other than the clip and a kinda cheesy carry case. Bought my 10/22 in 1970 ($49.00). Up until about 10 years ago still had stock factory trigger. It was like grinding two rocks together. Broke down and bought a timney, and it was as smooth as butter and broke like glass. After a few hundred rounds it was harder to pull, but still broke nice. Just went off the deep end and ordered a tg. 2000 volquartzen. Hope it lasts better than the timney. It's hard to spend 5 time's more on on the trigger than the rifel cost 😩

This is the 22lr I carry in my range bag I bought it when it first came out and taurus didn't have a Stella reputation but a 15 round magazine 2 included it came with the half by twenty eight adapter witch is rare and it was one of the first 22lr that was and actual striker fired pistol and at the time they where cheap plus they offered 50$ back on mine I went right to the range with a box of the wall mart 560 boxes it ate everything no jams stove pipes I had sub sonic and my rimfire suppressor and it cycled them perfect plus it was so quiet I have 5 22lr pistol all good names but I rarely use anything but the taurus is always in the bag and it's so reliable why switch

Everyone thinks pull weight matters. It doesn't really. It's the travel that makes one fast or slow. For Steel Challenge, I'm looking to replace the stock trigger on my 10/22 Stainless Takedown for RFPI. It's just too long of a pull to go fast. My TCR/22 I use for RFRO has a much better stock trigger with no need to upgrade.

Want to have anything but full noise reduction I run my can at full length the best sub sonic ammo so I get the sound suppression as low a as possible that what I payed for I hate having to wear ear protection the full length suppressor brings the sound level down to the point you only hear the action of the gun that to me is what made it cost so much with tax the sub sonic ammo I like is more than standard velocity but to me it's worth it there would be much point to paying all that money then waiting 16 months witch I did the last time not to get the best possible performance from it.
