A look at the CZ527 Varmint in .204 Ruger. This is one phenomenal rifle! Boy is it fast, and as usual with CZ, A1 barrel!!
The Mod is a MaccTecc and the best in its class in my opinion.
Update.
After a couple of weeks of shooting and cleaning, shooting and cleaning the barrel is settling in nicely and although I have shot a fox with it, it was only at 80 yards. The difference in ammunition though is phenomenal and the rifle now prefers the 32 grain and is currently doing .5 to .75 inch groups, but that will improve more with time. 40 grain bullet groups have now opened up from 1.5 inches, which they were both doing to start with on the new barrel to 3 inch sometimes 3.5 inch groups, so they will not be getting used anymore!!
The bolt has also gone from a rough/new feel, to a silky smooth gliding action that I am used to.
As far as the trigger is concerned, I have discovered that the standard trigger adjusted down to 1.7lb and all the trigger creep adjusted out of it, is just the ticket, and way out performs the set trigger. With the creep taken out of it, the trigger moves maybe 1/2 a mm on firing, as against the set trigger which ends up moving about 1/2 inch after release which is bollocks for follow through. I haven't disabled the set trigger as some people do, there is no need, I just won't use it!
I am now at the stage where I am going to start on the vermin, mainly long range crows, but with the odd fox. Standby for some more videos and long shots :-))
3 months later and I am reloading. Very very happy!!!
