This has got to be the absolute best ocarina performance I have seen in my life. Truly an inspiration! Breathetaking, original performance that pushes the full potential of ocarinas. My hats off to you.

Excellent performance! I liked that transition into humming the song. Humming into the ocarina is fun.

He's perfectly hitting 32nd notes and the audience can't even keep up with quarter notes... Hey, at least they enjoyed it...

That was really good. Best ocarina playing I've ever heard. I'm going to practice until I'm as good as him.

Wonderful performance! at one point Mr. Osawa's performance is full of soul, at another full of plainly the feeling of having fun. I love it! And it's a good demo of the ocarina's capabilities. His humming technique (4:29) was interesting too. :)

Okarina?? My father had one. Tried it, it appeared to be a very limited instrument. Here, 35 years later, I see I missed something. What a performance!!

I thought ocarinas had 6 notes: yellow up, left, right, and down arrows, plus A and B.

Well his Triple Ocarina is by a Japanese maker of ocarinas called "Icaros" (or something that sounds like that). They were the first oriental maker of ocarinas. I don't think they even sell their ocarinas commercially to the general public, but only to professionals like Osawa..

I believe at least his triple is made from a Japanese company named Icaros (or something that sounds like that). They are the first oriental makers of ocarinas, and have very high quality (but VERY, VERY expensive) ocarinas. Arguably some of the best in the world. They have some models of the ocarina that they don't even sell commercially to the general public, but only sell it to world-famous ocarina players, such as Osawa ;-)

Wow. I can just about do flutter tonguing (3:12) but not for very long and I don't think I'll be able to do double-tonguing (3:15) for a very long time! All I can do is hope to one day be as good as him. Thanks for posting this video. :)
