Nice to see this handgun is getting more showing on major youtube gun channels lately. Forgotten Weapons did a video on this gun recently. Its the first handgun of its kind to feature an ambidextrous magazine release. Also if somebody calls this a Czechoslovakian Makarov, its not a Makarov, despite firing the same cartridge.

For all those who consider this to be a Czech Makarov... this is NOT! It is originally not even chambered in 9mm Makarov in the first place :) The only thing that this shares with Mak is that it is simple blowback. Literally any other aspect or part - different :)

It was only ever chambered in 9x18 though. The only reason people call it the Czech Makarov was because it was basically the Czech answer to the Warsaw Pact 9x18 cartridge as opposed to just adopting the Makarov. Obviously it's pretty dissimilar to the Makarov but to call it the "Czech Makarov" makes sense
