Hardest sound in Czech made easy

Czech is a language famous for its infamous letter Ř, but I break it down so you can easily master it after this video.
We practice how to say four in Czech, as well as how to pronounce řeřicha and a tongue twister tři sta tři a třicet stříbrných stříkaček přeletělo přes tři sta tři a třicet stříbrných střech.

@@jonascarva8032 After making the video I pushed some friends to see if they could do it too and a few did and I was so proud of them😄 let's campaign for it to be a part of all languages! And yes, originally when I first learned the long phrase I learned it as ... křepelek přeletělo... and eventually people introduced me to ...stříkaček stříkalo... and since then I somehow mixed the two unknowingly but hey we're all human 😄 I appreciate the comment, thank you!

Halo good video ... but litle detail original is "Tři sta třicet tři stříbrných stříkaček stříkalo přes tři sta třicet tři stříbrných střech." ... hard talk: s-t-ř ... but is still very good (yes my english is very bad ... and if i talk is typical slav style :D)

when editing this video I realized that I actually mixed two versions accidentally, which ive been saying for years now xD so it could be stříkaček stříkalo or křepelek přeletělo and somehow in my mind i combined the two... but anyway 😄 thanks for the compliment!

I am also used to version with střistatřicet tři, not střista třiatřicet. I don't really like this german system of writting numbers in Czech, we do it only in some cases, but some older people do it everywhere for no reason.

@@Pidalin its still something that gets a smile out of me, i've never hear a language playing with numbers so much like czech where you can say pět a padesát (five and fifty = 55) it's very interesting and funny i think 😄 but when speaking normally, I always use the typical tři sta třicet tři

Your pronunciation of Ř is really good, but I don't don't really think that you can create Ř by combining R and Ž, it's one short sound, softened R, when you combine R and Ž, you will get more like Polish RZ, which is better than nothing for the start, but it's not Ř. Most of non native speakers are starting with this rule like R+Ž, so their Ř is never Ř, it's always some weird Ž combined with R. And also, you can be able to pronounce Ř even when you can't really say rolled R, I know people who have problem with normal R and they can pronounce Ř. Czech R is not that rolled, it's more like average R, not that crazy like russian or italian R, a lot of Czechs can't really say that strong long rolling R sound.
