honestly they’re not the strongest vocal group within the kpop realm and i love when they do get love from vocal coaches. not a lot of vocal coaches do reactions on them because at their core they’re heavily influenced by hip hop and edm. but the thing that draws me in is their energy both individually and as a whole. i actually had the privilege of seeing them at coachella

To answer your question about their fans, which are called " Blinks" and I'm a proud member. It is amazing to see the range of people who love these wonderful ladies. I have been privileged to see them several times and I'm not a young man anymore at the age of 52. I can say that personally I have seen Grandparents with their grandkids at these shows. I love them my daughter loves them and it's funny because as the oldest member in my family I might be the biggest fan. Having experienced several shows their fans consist of all ages and all cultures, really it's been a beautiful thing to see.

As far as I remember being a blink (blackpink’s fandom name) for almost 6 years majority of our fandom consisted of females probably because they debuted with girl crush as their main concept which was very limited within girl groups especially in 3rd generation, gradually the male side of the fandom also grew and currently the fandom is almost balanced. Blackpink’s concept can be defined by their name itself - BLACK & PINK BLACK - Hard core girl crush, songs that makes you feel powerful and sassy, basically mood uplifting songs. Examples - Boombayah (debut), Ddu du ddu du, Kill this love, Pretty Savage,etc etc (are usually their title tracks) PINK - Cheerful summer vibes with slice of girl crush, these are refreshing and fun, makes you wanna dance. Examples - Whistle (also their debut song), As if it’s your last, Forever Young, Lovesick girls , etc They also have some great soulful songs which idk how to put among the two categories. Examples - Stay, Don’t know what to do, Hope not, You never know, The happiest girl, etc

I’m a 40 year old Australian guy. Love them. They are all beautiful which does contribute. But I love rap and I love amazing singers. They have both. Plus the m/vs are probably the best in the world (when you consider all of them) and they are great live. What’s not to like?

For the styling question - Blackpink is probably one of the first kpop groups to have all members connected to a well-known/luxury brand for styling. Jisoo is with Dior, Jennie is with Chanel, Rose with YSL and Lisa with Celine. While members in kpop groups are getting more individualized styling nowadays, most of the groups will be dressed differently within the concept of a song/album, while Blackpink members to some degree are styled for/with their personal brand. I think they are able to do that because they have fewer members but with extremely high popularity, and they are also from a company that emphasizes individuality more comparing to the rest of the industry. I think there is a newer group (newjeans) is catching up to this, but not sure if it fully reflected on stage yet.

For your first question, in my opinion: 1. Jennie outfit sometimes sexier and eye-catching. 2. Rose is like more 'sweet' outfit and mostly have string in shoulder. She is often in blonde hair. Sometimes, she wears a little bit different outfit among them but still in one theme. 3. Jisoo is often accentuate her waist because of her body shape. Nothing wrong with her shape, but her shape is different among the three. She is rectangular, I mean her shoulder and hip has same width. The others have inverted rectangle. And, her outfit is more modest. She also wears the thickest shoes soles because she is the shortest. She also often in long straight black hair. 3. Lisa's outfit often is the weirdest/unique but soo good in her. She always has bang. For the first debut era, her hair almost always short/bob and has bang. Nowadays, we can see her forehead. Hihiii.. she often changes her hair color and style. And, mostly she wears pants/long pants.
