I'd definitely recommend watching their Music Videos as they're known for their jaw-dropping videos using all practical sets and effects. These young ladies are the top of the list when it comes to women groups or any groups. Personally, I put them at the top of everything. I have seen them 5 time in concert and have never been disappointed. These wonderful young ladies work their asses off live and on their music videos. But I find that with most K-pop groups they really put the work in. Teddy Park is their producer who grew up in the states but went back to Korea to pursue a musical career. All of these magnificent women are influencers and are ambassadors for many large brands. Which is why you notice the different styles of each. Other commentors have already stated this as well. I have been lucky enough to have followed this group since they debuted, and they can do no wrong personally I love everything they have put out. It is very rare to find a group that is amazing as a collective, but also each member has solo music that is just as good individually. I have a lot of respect for the Korean idols they all work very hard and train for years before they ever put in music out.

When they are live in concert, they do wander around and do their own thing. It is a mix of choreo and interacting with the audience. This video is a TV show performance.

In regard to "duties", their companies assign each member an official "position" within the group according to their particular strengths. The positions are "tiered", so the prefix of *MAIN* means "Most Skilled", the position *LEAD* means "Very Skilled" and the position *SUB* means "Skilled*. In BLACKPINK's case, however, the lines have been blurred over the years. Jennie, the long-haired rapper, is designated as Main Rapper but she has done less rapping and more vocals over the years, while Lisa, the redhead, has taken the front seat in rapping in many songs. Rosé, the blonde with the unique, high voice is Main Vocalist and Jisoo, with long black hair is Lead Vocalist, handling the lower range. The "rap line" is Lisa and Jennie while the "Vocal Line" is mainly Rosé and Jisoo, although all four members are vocalists as well.

Very astute, yes, it's similar to the old boy groups in regard to having a favorite. The term they is used is "bias", for instance my bias in BLACKPINK is Rosé, the blonde (she's a New Zealander who grew up in Australia, her Aussie accent kills me!), but my "bias-wrecker" is Lisa, the rapper with red hair. The guy off-camera knows his K-Pop, he knows all of this already lol! And yes again, each member of BLACKPINK showcases their unique style. As each member is also the Global Ambassador to multiple luxury brands you'll sometimes see them wearing those brands in their music videos, as well as out in public.

As long as I know about Blackpink's outfit is: 1. In training era, they are teached and learnt about managing a performance including how/will you do dressed. They arranged it by themselves. 2. After debuting, their wardrobe team provide bunch of clothing and let them choose and mmix and match it by themselves. 3. Or, maybe they also arrange and give the idea about the wardrobe on stage.

I ran across Black Pink back around 2017-ish. One of their songs was used in a backing track for "Hyori's Homestay" which was a Korean TV show. I watched pieces of that show on KZbin. I also helped with some translation, which was interesting since I didn't speak, read, write or understand Korean -- still don't. I like BP about as much as I like most of the better K-Pop acts. Their future is somewhat solid (either as a group or individually) due to their success to date. I am not convinced that they are individually more talented than other upper level K-Pop stars. I have no list of their self-written songs, like IU or G-Dragon or others who have lasted. The group was formed specifically to appeal to "foreign" markets. They only have one "native Korean." They are trying individually to find futures for themselves. I have no opinion about how that will turn out. By comparison, BTS had a similar history for me, but they have already shown a lot of individual talent. I hope BP members do well, but I don't see any hint of depth yet. . . .

I recommend also reacting to (G)I-DLE's "Put It Straight (nightmare version)" in Queendom. A very unique group in the industry, and the members wrote and produced 95% of their songs. Funny that you mentioned SES 😊 that's where I started too. I stopped following after the 1st generation and came back for (G)I-DLE.

Nah, some boybands do look similar between members but not BSB, and it isn't about being a fan. I mean the obvious one has always been AJ he really stood out, you dont have to be a fan to notice he is the different one, but the rest of them too, especially in the earlier years. Another good example is spice girl, they are not only different, they even have a name for each spice, it's their brand that each individual is a different personality. Sure not all the boyband are like that. I mean for instance west life, Yeah they have different hair style but its not as much compared to bsb.

the lable that blackpink is under YG Entertainment has a main producer and Teddy is that producer. he has produced most of blackpinks discography as well as most big hits that come out of yg. he produced for big bang, 2ne1 etc. all acts under YG. After blackpink debuted he has stepped back a lot from other yg acts and has concentrated on blackpink.

You could probably do a BP video a day and not run out until fall, and, of course, we expect you to cover most of them. This doesn't even cover their solo works. Yes, the girls are insanely fit - they have to be. They diet and exercise daily and really only pig out when they're on their lengthy tours where they burn off the calories performing. I'm always humbled when I think those slender, tiny bodies can dance anyone into the dirt. The typical order is to do the MVs first, then look at the live performances, usually divided into show appearances and concert appearances. If you want a better look at their dancing, all the songs have "Dance Practice" videos where it's just them dancing in a studio. I likewise recommend "Blackpink: Light Up the Sky" which goes more into how they became trainees, the long, very hard road they followed, and the Born in Battle sisterhood they developed. One of the reasons Blinks love the girls so much is the bond between them. They always look out for each other. They're also, miracle of miracles, seem completely free of jealousy or envy of their individual talents and know expressing the best of themselves only makes the group stronger. They always cheer each other on, calling each other when they're apart or showing up on the set of someone's solo to lend their emotional support. Kpop is, simply put, where all the creative energy is today, and a lot of is is led by strong And beautiful women, who are increasingly taking creative control of their music and careers. Some of the other Kartists you should check out are Lee Je-eun aka "IU," the queen of Kpop who has been a successful singer and actress for over a decade. She is, simply, the Idol all the other Idols look up to and has been openly credited by many of the newer artists as the singer who inspired them to become idols. Another one you should check out is Jeon Soyeon, who boldly took creative control of (G)-Idle when the group was in danger of falling apart and became the writer/producer/leader of the group and has led them to an explosive growth in popularity. First song to hit is "Tomboy," which is the insanely catchy tune Soyeon wrote to get the group back on their feet. If you're still looking after that, check out a couple of the newest groups, New Jeans and "Attention" along with Aespa's "Spicy," which is another banger. You're going into a place you're never coming out of. Don't say we didn't warn you. Pretty soon you'll be babbling about these groups to other newbies, just like we're doing here. Welcome to Kpop...
