Tagalog has open vowels and this is why most Filipinos are good in singing because the language makes you open your mouth. And you know that having open vowels helps you create sounds better. When you speak Tagalog fluently with accent and all, it actually sounds "sing songy".

These are The Avengers of the Philippines. Budakhel is comprised of BU-Bugoy Drilon (white jacket) DA-Daryl Ong (leather jakcet) Khel-Michael Pangilinan (pang-ee-lee-nan, orange and black top) They're amazing on their own right but as a group, and they're not official as a group, but they always sing and jam together. And of course, Katrina V, she's just 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥And best believe that they can all do this Live as Live can be. Actually, Philippines has over 120 languages and many dialects. They'd be completely different grammar. For example, Tagalog in the NCR would be different than Tagalog Batangueño...which would be considered dialects. But Ilocano and Tagalog are different languages

Philippine languages use a very open sounding short vowels a,e,i,o,u with some double vowel sounds like aa, ii with gutteral stops between. The double vowels force a disruptive stop while singing, such as the word iibig, pag-iibig or 'to love'. But in general, the short, open vowel sounds are very gentle for singers. Tagalog is also very syllabic, with many words ending in a vowel

Tagalog as a language is very music friendly. We have alot of vowels and most often than not its an open sound that allows singers to utilize their mouths and tongue. Even the other languages in the Philippines share the same characteristics. Hiligaynon for example has a thick accent (veey melodic) Visayan a very strong one too. Ilocano sounds so different from Tagalog with few similarities..both derived from Austronesian and Malay languages. Most people use Filipino its the standardized Tagalog. (Mix of Spanish, English and Tagalog) Btw...Ilocano isnt a dialect but rather a language (it is not only use in one area but its one of the main languages in Ph and some areas of Hawaii.We have approximately 120-170 spoken langauges in the Philippines This group is called Budakhel (BUgoy, DAryl, and KHEL) both are solo covalist plus feat Katrina they have alot of collaborations together.

Languages, not dialects. The Philippines has more than a hundred. Tagalog is just one of them. Filipino, the official language is largely Tagalog-based. Filipinos are very good at phonetic mimicry when singing. Also, when you sing the brain’s auditory cortex becomes more active, focusing more on sound perception and production, overriding regional accents that can be present when speaking.

Those are languages, dialects are more of variations of a language (Ex: Batangas Tagalog, Laguna Tagalog and Manila Tagalog) even if you have different dialects you could understand the meaning someone is saying. If I speak Cebuano the Tagalogs wouldn't understand what I am saying.
@Somm_RJАй бұрын
@@dowoons_lost_cat you are absolutely correct that that is how a linguist would define it. And I tend to use language rather than dialect, as evident on my comment above yours. Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, and Montenegrin understand each other because they are literally the same language. Why don’t we call them dialects then? How about Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian? Italian and Spanish understands each other understands 4 out of 5 words of each other. Morrocan and Jordanian both speak Arabic but they don’t understand each other. Like Hiligaynon and Ilocano, Mandarin is so different from Cantonese. Why are they not called languages then? It turns out, in real life, it is difficult to distinguish a language from a dialect. I use my preferred term, however, whatever a local wants to call it, I don’t dare to correct them. Also, I don’t view dialect as inferior to language as others do.
