Boogs hands down the best PG I ever play with, against, or saw with my own eyes. Saw him put up 50+ pts up on B&G High and they had the 7' center. All super good brothers! Brooklyn's Finest!!!

I can't stop coming back to this interview because these dudes are pointing out spot on differences between basketball back in the day and basketball now. Dudes played both ends of the court, whereas cats now want to score 40 so they can be on ball is life. It's trickle down effect from the NBA all the way down to the courts. Nice is used very loosely these days. I haven't seen someone that I can genuinely look at and say yo that dude is nice in nearly 10 years. If yall know who Aquille Carr is; that's the last dude I looked at and said those words. I am not big on hardly anyone coming up today because they act like every dude can play now. There are so many videos labeled basketball's next big thing, yet the dude can barely get off the floor and his competition is even worse. I have not watched a full NBA game besides this year's playoffs because I was pullin for Chris Paul to get his ring. Dudes were tougher back in the day because they had to teach themselves the game. The internet is a blessing because there are "some" knowledgeable trainers who work with the top NBA guys like your Hardens and Durants that post content about how to play the game the right way, but the dudes now aren't using it. This goes to show that when you actually have to work you appreciate it more than when the information is spoon fed to you. Outside of the few pro trainers there are so many bad trainers. They hardly teach anything about defense, but when good defensive content is posted there are hardly any views on those videos. In order to be a great player you have to approach basketball like you're trying to learn and study foreign language in college. Training and drills only work if they translate to the actual game. You must understand your fundamental tactics to a point where you can teach it to someone that doesn't even play basketball and he's able to comprehend. Understanding the purpose of a move and recognizing the situation of its use is a good place to start if you're going to learn from a trainer and actually ask him to make you better. Other than that, learning from a trainer is useless because you're only doing what you see another player doing.

Great interview man. Booger was and is my favorite point guard behind Skip, Jamaal Tinsley, Isiah Thomas from the Pistons, and J Will. These cats I named made you want to add something new to your game. That magic is gone now. Also too many trainers like they said here.

Facts. Dude made that rock come to life. Basketball has not been the same since this nigga put the rock down. This was back in the day when everything was just simple. You can't recreate the wheel. Take it to the courts repetition. The NBA is a circus now because we didn't get to see Boogz put on a NBA uniform. The point guard position is nearly extinct because everyone wants to bring the ball up the court so they can shoot. This is the age of the combo guard. A point guard is a floor general that does what his team needs at that specific point and time. It's about getting ball to teammates in spots where they can utilize their strengths. If teammates can't deliver then you have to carry the scoring load. Westbrook is not a point guard because he doesn't intend to see the floor for an opportunity to utilize his team. He generates assists because he dominates the ball. Booger dropped dimes because he gotta thrill out of seeing someone score off a good pass. After Jason Kidd and Steve Nash retired, Chris Paul was the last man standing. Rondo is good, but he isn't quite on that level. Zeke from the Bad Boy Pistons was better than all of them though besides Magic. A point guard needs a balance of scoring and passing to be considered a true floor general. Kyrie has moves, but he's not a willing passer.

Enter by the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction; and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:13-14. God bless yall seek Christ while He may be found. Again dope interview. I just watched Soul in the Hole last week.
