I don't think those were wrong notes, as in mistakes. He's deliberately going off by one fret before jumping to the right note. I like it. This is the type of music Lee Ranaldo is known for, so if you ask him to collaborate, it's something like this you're going to get. Perhaps not what everyone likes, but personally I think Sonic Youth is one of the greatest bands of our time.
