Reminds me of a left handed Damian Lillard. Remember that Lillard was selected 6th overall in 2012. If they do that draft over again, Damian could definitely have been #2 after Anthony Davis and ahead of MKG, Beal, Waiters and Thomas Robinson. Its not crazy for the lakers to take Russell over Okafor. Bottom line, rankings don't mean shit, take the most talented guy in the draft regardless of position.

I've gotten excited before about certain acquisitions the Lakers made in the past however there feels like something special about this kid . Last time I got that feeling it was kobe Bryant. The only thing that's going to keep me rooting and defendant them if they do excellent in the second round picking up guys like Rakeem Christmas, RJ Hunter, the LSU guys and take a chance on Robert Upshaw for one year. And I wouldn't be mad if we end up with Emmanuel Mudiay I just would like if we was able to do something that Bernard King and Patrick Ewing was never able to do, Melo and Okafor a one-two punch offensive juggernaut and just let the other players play defense

Where's he explosiveness? How well does he get to the basket? How strong does he finish at the rim? If I'm drafting 1-3, those things matter just as much as having a nice jump shot. Jabari Parker had a sweet J too, but he struggled athletically for the first two months before he got hurt.

I think he'll develope into a great player. His shooting arc is low but Kwani Leonard's was too and he improved his shoot and became the Finals MVP. We can't judge these players off of one year in the league. We have to give them three to five years. They may be skilled in some areas but there still 19 and 20 years of age. Every player isn't Kobe ,Lebron or Jordan. James Hardan was a sixth man at one time and now look at him. I rest my case.
