Melodic drumming at t's best! I love his creative mind! A living legend!

Chris opens up these crazy space portal atmospheres for the other players to jump into, and then they blast off into outerspace

i don't see hear overplaying , music is on the whole time ...

It’s true that some people don’t like this kind of what could be “overplaying” but Robert Glasper or Kamasi Washington would handle it for example

@subwoofer67268 жыл бұрын
+Thomas Trotter I agree, probably just for this tour or because it's a house kit. I know he's mentioned he personally prefers to not use them if possible. Plus I see his collection of Frankenstein-esque effect cymbals are not here, like his stacks and trash cymbals. See he gone pretty traditional here.

Check the body language of the musicians (Collier in particular) during Dave's (interminable) solo. This is after totally de-railing the trumpet player's solo ;(. Chris has the capability to lay it down (example Jill Scott live, equally D'Angelo), but there's too much 'me-me-me' from him here.. ;(.

i see it as him playing off the trumpet

2:58 nothing like hearing a ton of guys making sure everyone else knows they heard an impressive line by “OOOOOH”ing in the middle of a solo. i think it’s sort of disrespectful of the music, it’s not a damn football game.
@ryanmichelz945 жыл бұрын
You obviously haven't heard jazz much huh? I've heard that done soooooo many times through out the history of jazz recordings
