The Anaheim team has many legendary games. Like the game they lost when Ohtani hit 2 home runs with 8 RBI. Or the loss in the opener after he pitched 7 scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts. Then there's the one where he hit a grand slam home run and had a rare triple play, and of course they lost.

Wait till next season when the starting pitcher Shohei's back. Shohei often almost shut down the opponents, then hit 2 HR or made a few RBI for his start. Before he started his own games, he sometimes stole some bases and made one or 2 runs. Then he 1st appeared on the mound with a muddy jersey & dusted pants, that's really an impressive view of the starting pitcher of your team in the 1st inning! There is no super important situation in a game in May when you're already leading the division by 8 games. Let the kid work through it and save the pen. He didn't get it this time and he will learn from it for the future. Dodgers are in maintenance mode with so many arms on the IL. Leave last season in last season. This isn't some statement series.

We lost today, but Ohtani did well and there's some good news too. It's estimated that Ohtani's total economic impact this year will be around $553 million. This is an increase of $230.8 million from last year's $322.2 million. Not all of this impact will benefit the Dodgers, but I believe it will have a positive economic effect on Los Angeles as well!

For the boost of high priced tickets sold both in Dodgers stadium and other ballparks as well as the crazy sales in Ohtani jerseys & goods are going to be shared within 30 teams, yet the 11 increased new Dodgers stadium ad sponsors attracted by Ohtani from Japan or Japan related companies resulted in several yrs contracts are all only benefited by Dodgers and the enormous increases in tourists from Japan and the world for Ohtani will definitely provides great incomes to LA City and Dodgers stadium in general! Especially the Korean opening series has increased Ohtani's popularity even further and beyond while WBC last year also made Ohtani a more shinny International Star. Many international media and regions which have no baseball existence are paying more and more attention on Ohtani as Ohtani continues to a brightest star in MLB.

Nood question here for 3:45 play: There is a player is at first base running to second base. New hitter hits the ball and runs toward first base. Why does it make more sense for the Dodgers to send the ball to first base rather than second base? It is because there is a risk he cannot reach 2nd on time or because it makes more sense to have an opposite player at second base rather than first?
@smcdonough1427
@smcdonough1427 28 күн бұрын
Because the ball was hit softly and because of the location of the hit, no one was covering second, and the runner probably would have beaten the throw anyway, so they had to take the sure out at first base. In that situation they would have wanted the double play if possible, but since it wasn't they needed to get at least one out

Ohtani helped the team to scores those 3 runs. Even if he hits a 3 run home run in this game, the team still lost.

Gavin should not be in the rotation of a starting pitcher. He still needs coaching and better pitches that can't get hits off. Come on, doc, do your job, and pull'em out the game!

When you strand Lux at 3rd with nobody out how can you win. Ohtani can't do it all himself.
