Wow! This is beautiful and powerful music. Incredible. I love Buxtehude. What a great composer and musician he was! Impeccable performance. Thanks for posting this. This is a brilliant rendering of something that is beyond words. I see musicians are enjoying the interplay. This is so badass.

Huit minutes de pure joie - beau à couper le souffle. J'ai écouté ce morceau trois fois de suite, profondément ému par les harmonies, le jeu transparent des musiciens, la mélancolie de la mélodie..... Un des plus morceaux de musique baroque que je connaisse - et j'en connais beaucoup.......

Good performance, but not good as Manze I must say. Why did you record with only 2 microphone? You know I am sure more than 2 microphone are useful for a good recording... I love the viola da gamba and the harpsichord. Pity that the sound of the violin is so dry. It doesn't sound relax, and not all the time in tune!
