I would kill to have a d20 mimic, like just a big mouth full of teeth with a pile of gold moulded and painted into the bottom, would be so easy to do just re tool the beholder and paint it brown with a wider mouth.

I wouldn't worry too much about mispronouncing the names, as a long time D&D player I have never even heard of these two specific dragons, and I can't imagine I'm the only one (although I'm sure somebody who plays more official modules than I do would recognize them easily) Also, these look way better than I though they would, I didn't expect an articulated jaw at all

They are great. I only know where Thumberchod originated. He comes from the Escape From The Underdark campaigne, and this version is the "lean" depiction. Look up the original artwork to see him in his true glory. LOL

Themberchaud is a much more established dragon he is the leader of a city in the Underdark. Rakor I've never heard of before.

Unlike the Owlbear and Beholder Dicelings, these two appear to be actual characters from _Honor Among Thieves,_ rather than generic monsters. Themberchaud is somewhat well established in the D&D lore, being a red dragon who made a deal with an order of dark-dwarf clerics, powering their furnaces and forges in exchange for them protecting his lair and giving him people to eat. But Rakor seems to be a completely new character, all I can find about him so far is that he's a black dragon, which basically means he breathes acid and is the among the most cruel and sadistic dragons in D&D.

Did anyone else see the peg-hole on the upper jaw of these dragons? That means they're "Bloosh Compatible!" As befits dragons, who have breath-weapons (Red Dragons breathe fire and Blacks breathe acid, for the record).

This is the real reason they want to screw us over with the OGL: turn a long-established hobby into novelty toys for mass market appeal. And you're right, had these come out a year earlier, these would be flying off the shelves. As things stand now, their sales are going to suffer

Ooo, Themberchaud's interesting. Red Dragons don't have blue on them normally, so his wings are something of an aberration. Add that to the chonky body type and the fact that his name is essentially an insult in the Draconic language, and he's quite the mystery. Can't wait to see what his deal is in the movie!

Apparently Themberchaud is a character from the Out of the Abyss adventure module, so lore does already exist for him. From what I can tell, Rakor is the real mystery, since he doesn't seem to have any existence prior to Honor Among Thieves.

I would guess that "Rakor" is pronounced "Rake or" and Themberchaud is pronounced with a soft "th" &. "ch" and the "au" at the end pronounced "oh," but I don't think there will be an "official" pronunciation until the movie drops.

Next wave needs to be d4, d6, d8, d10, and d12. However. There will need to be 2 d10's and maybe also make a leader class sized d100. This way we can have a full set of D&D dice.

@@asdfniofanuiafabuiohui3977 As a side note I personally dislike that the metallic dragons get two fire breathers... poison would have suited brass just fine. It's not like poison is an inherently "evil" thing considering copper dragons breathe *acid*

@@JM64 The reason there's two fire breathers for metallic and no poison, is because the choices for metallic dragons for 5th Edition just happened to include two fire breathers. There's more than 5 Metallic Dragons, as there are more than 5 Chromatics and more than 5 Gemstone. 5th Edition simplified everything, including the bestiary. For example, Mercury is a metallic dragon that breathes poison.

I'm not saying you should support WotC... I just think it's funny that this is the first time I think I've ever seen nerds rally against bullshit copy right shenanigans. Where's this energy when it comes to Nintendo? Musicians? Etc.

@@JM64 it comes from D&D being a community that works together in game. On video games or listening to music is mostly an individual activity. So it makes sense that D&D players come together for the good will of the community as a whole. Plus they are fighting to keep things the same as the current Open Gaming License(ogl), instead of allowing Wizards of the Coast to change something that has worked for 20+ years.
