I have been needing a D&D fountain and so I decided to build one. I used a great Aasimar Paladin mini for the statue. A DND statue fountain commands lots of tabletop use and it is about time I got this done. Check out this D&D build tutorial and let me know if you made one yourself! Thanks for watching Scatter Craft.

Really, really cool build! This one was like a Bob Ross painting for me - half way through I thought you'd ruined it, but then it all came together and looked amazing.

Great build. Heat usually gets the bubbles but you have to be careful with it. Keep up the good work.

5 minute epoxy cures so fast, bubbles are almost inevitable. You saw how thick it was from the get go. Most of the hobby based epoxy water effects are less thick in the beginning, allowing you to vibrate the bubbles out.

Another great build! The obelisk seems a bit too tall/out of proportion, but I like the concept. If you wanted to be all fancy about it, you could put a magnet in the center and just magnetize any particular plinth toppings you wanted to use.

This looks really awesome. Just a personal preference though, the copper statue looks way too brite and shiny and needs toning down and needs some "Verdi's Gris" to age it. Use a brown, thin wash all over, then dry brush a vivid green on the statue, especially in the books and crannies, where if someone was cleaning it, they would not be able to reach. The top, vertical parts, like the head, top of arms, top rim of shield etc.(basically anywhere where rainwater would fall down on to it) need to be shinny, so add a thin line of mixed silver and copper. Then add a clear coat of varnish, just to this area, to make it look like this is where it's been cleaned by the rain constantly over time. Hope this little trick helps. Great video, keep em coming.

I agree I was thinking about toning it down but to be honest painting is my least favorite part of the project. Unfortunately it probably has the biggest effect on the project so I need to work on my painting skills. Thanks

AND funny you should comment today as I’m just finished painting the colored stones and about to put in my resin! I also used a toothpick with some silver and gold paint to make little coins in the bottom.

Epoxy bubbles are usually removed either by vibration, or by heat, blowing on the surface of the epoxy with a straw is usually enough, but some people like to use a small kitchen torch to make sure. That probably would not work well on this project since its so small, so my vote would be the straw. However, as others have mentioned, 5-min epoxy dries too fast to have time to remove the bubbles. The only way to have less bubbles is to stir slow enough to not create many bubbles while you're mixing it initially, and even that is still a great challenge with the 5-min stuff. Still, its way cheaper than buying the stuff with the slower cure time that you can get all the bubbles out of, so it depends mostly on whether you're willing to spend the money for the craft to look better. When i last used 5-min epoxy, i tried my best to stir slowly, and ended up with less bubbles, but unfortunately it wasn't mixed well enough and is now a little tacky in places. Its hard to find the balance needed when it dries so fast!

A small pocket torch will remove most of the bubbles, however idk how you would do it without melting your foam board.

Since it is a fountain with flowing water, bubbles in the water would be natural.

Re the bubbles: I’ve seen crafters blowing directly or through a straw to make them vamoose. (Apparently CO2 helps adios the bubbles.)

If you breath on the surface most of the bubbles will go
