My favorite dnd head cannon is that the colors are named after the dragons and not the other way around.

Honestly that's a cool idea. Also some languages don't have words for some colours, so you could have areas that are isolated and would never have heard of some dragons not have a name for that colour.

Blue dragon the only chromatic dragon tiamate made a calculated risk with. She gave them the ability to acknowledge the value of other species and loyalty. They accept that while rare it is theoretically possible for other beings to be as powerful as dragons. This may seem like nothing but is something no other chronic dragon can boast

And Blue dragons are the symbol of Arrogance between the chromatic dragons while the others represent the rest of Tiamat's inner aspects, Greed for Red, Manipulation for Green, Savagery for White, and Malice for Black.

My favorite Chromatic Dragon that I have a story with one my characters built around one that serves as a supporting ally to my character. Her name is Sivilith, she’s a Lawful Neutral Blue Greatwyrm Dragon. She tries to refrain from eating any intruders that trespass as she would ask them to leave her territory if they do not have a valuable item only resorting to violence if they threaten her or do not heed her warning, though very few would be dumb enough to do that only to be reluctantly devoured by Sivilith.

Blues and whites are the only ones I don't have strong opinions on. I have always loved reds and greens, but until the redesigns, I had found blacks to be ugly. Now, they have come to be one of my favorites.
