I like how a dragon is still a dragon. Even the god of justice can't help being kind of a douche.

I think any “goodie twoshoes” lawful good character is going to be a bit of a douche. They shine through when they inspire other more grey characters to do the right thing.

Can’t believe I only just saw this… my Silver Dragonborn paladin of Bahamut, Rodan (who helped redeem Zariel), and his descendant, the Silver Dragonborn ranger, Ghidorah (he became a real boy… i.e. an actual Silver Dragon… and taught a tribe of Kobolbs the true way and helped stop another great evil) wanted to make Dad proud… hopefully, they both did Dad proud!

Good video! I always imagined bahamut being more of a "silly little guy" cause of his quotes. Though i guess his deific responsibilities and lawful good nature probably have more of a pull on his personality than i originally considered.
@dudeslayer45055 ай бұрын
I really like Bahamut and other justice gods, but there’s always something about the ways they just treat people like they’re beyond changing their ways, or the crazy unfair punishments they hand out. Like “I’m a just and powerful god! Watch me drown this thief in quicksilver and bind his soul to undead servitude for ALL ETERNITY!” Like damn dude, yeah I sure do wonder why not everyone follows you, lol

For 13 minutes describing the Most Magnificent of Metallic dragons that was great. I would like to hear more of their magic, spell casting prowress.... and their psionics. Wow. Everyone focuses on the physical. But the metallic dragons must have wisdom, intellect and charisma as their equal when compared to size and physical dread. The magic items, the artifacts, the divination capability must be incredible. Their access to leaders of nations, arch mages, high priests, secret sects.... should make them nearly invincible and invaluable in the great scheme of things. Their ability to shift the outcome of dire circumstances into favorable ones without their obvious appearance should be obvious yet masked.

A friend and I played a buddy cop style partnership in our party. I played a paladin of bahamut and my friend played a war cleric. The war cleric was a by the books style officer, while my paladin was a more loose ballista.

I hope this isn't nitpicking, but I can't help but be curious. Bahamut's lair is quite difficult to even get to uninvited, let alone to sneak into, isn't it? Wouldn't someone capable of that have the resources to simply buy a curative or hire a mage capable of it? Seems a better option than trying to steal from a dragon god.

As old and wise as the fellow is, I kinda doubt he'd sound so self-righteous, petty and vain. Maybe a little lighter on the fire and brimstone, a little heavier on the compassion, generosity and forgiveness. Good voicework though.

In our campaign, bahamut was basically a 70s swinger guy who wore a disco ball on a necklace and was like a smoother version of Rodney Dangerfield. He would be great friends with ron burgundy. This was early 80s so ron didn't exist yet lol he would walk the prime as a human and slaughter evil if it messed with him or whoever he was hanging out with. Odd, but so much fun. Lol He also made a regular habit of thwarting the plans of random demons, devils, and evil beings of all sorts, especially tiamat. Just witnessing those two fighting was quite dangerous. I remember him polymorphing into a mouse quite often too, and that was always interesting. Just some random thoughts, hope it gives someone an idea for an adventure. Lol

too me both bahamut and Tiamat are not really that good to begin with they both kill dragons with different scale colors which is not ok to do just like how humans kill other humans because of there skin color which is stupid in my mind
@redfaux745 ай бұрын
No one said Tiamat was good. I've never heard of any good dragon killing another dragon of any kind because of its color.
@Ryodraco2 ай бұрын
@@redfaux74it's been noted metallics will kill chromatics on sight, but it's not due to color but due to the generally evil nature of the chromatics. It's something of an instinctual response.

@Ryodraco - I guess IF it is true every single Chromatic Dragons MUST be evil, then you're right. But Metallic Dragons are known for their good nature. There should be exceptions. At least some.

@@redfaux74 as I understand it, there are alignment exceptions allowed for most things in D&D, though they may be so rare as to be virtually nonexistent.
