I like playing a Half-Orc Monk. Often I would crit on an unarmed attack and the DM would say "No need for the dice roll. It's dead."

The new monk martial arts dice progression really ups the monk for me personally. A half orc is good in any place.

Now i know im a rookie, but this getting back up with 1hp part was extremely good! I thought for sure i had to go right back up and hope for insta heal before getting nuked again. This fits my strategic/unconventional mind perfectly and gives much needed depth to my tank!
@TheSinisterheroes2 ай бұрын
Let me tell you it feels awesome when you use it. One thing though some times it might play to your benefit to stay playing on the ground for a moment. It depends on the scenario, but getting right back up right away could just get you dropped instantly down. You can play a little tactical with it at times.

Ok time for the Bakugo inspired character concept to compliment yesterdays halfling video so continue reading under the assumption that this is meant to be used in the same campaign as Ezekiel this character's name is David Boomburst a a half orc wild magic barbarian who is an aggressive loud mouth who was once close friends with Ezekiel Greenfoot but the friendship was ruined because David let the ego from his strength and questionable magic prowess get to his head and as a result his friend went down a dark path because of him and now David regretting what he did is now looking for his former friend to not only apologize and make amends for what he did but to also try and bring his friend back from the dark path he walks this will make for such some good Player to player interactions but also a great NPC as well
@TheSinisterheroes7 ай бұрын
I like the wild magic barbarian, I think the idea of being so wrapped up in wrath that magic is pulled from the weave, into your attacks. I think the character works. It’s so easy to go into a dark path with barbarians because of how rage works out side of combat like the theory. Cus you’re kind of doing it your self. It isn’t a reaction. It is a cool concept especially if it plays out.

I’ve got an idea for a D&D comic or manga, it’s the story of a male Half Elf ranger named Leumas who teams up with a male Half Orc fighter named Tork, a female Gnome Thief named Tini and a female Tiefling Warlock named Grima and call themselves the Outcasts of Forgotten Realms due to the fact that these four have been pushed around by everyone within Fae’run. These four set out on adventures that lead to crazy hijinks similar to that of an adult comedy movie like the Harold and Kumar trilogy, Hangover Trilogy, Anchorman Movies, Stepbrothers, Simpsons Movie, Stewie Griffin’s Adventures, South Park Bigger, Longer and Uncut, Drawn Together Movie, Bob’s Burgers Movie and the Drawn Together Movie.

About to start my second ever D&D campaign, and although half orcs tend to be good melee fighters, mine is a little Artificer girl named Nutmeg. She came from a hunter gatherer tribe, and is now going to be in a school setting for the campaign. It'll be fun trying to balance her feelings of being inadequate for being small and non aggressive, with her love of lights, inventing and other non stereotypical orc things. That, and also balancing her mannerisms from growing up in her tribe with trying to sit still in a classroom.
@TheSinisterheroes Жыл бұрын
That’s cool going against type. Depending on your subclass you can get mileage out of your species abilities.

Have an idea for a former barbarian half orc that has their memory wiped and wakes up in a monestary and finds enlightenment. The ultimate redemption Arc. Pretty much trying to take him from a Gregor clegane type of evil to almost the polar opposite. But the fact there's a god literally behind the darkness as well as giving the character some type of trauma or flashbacks could make for some wild RP.
@TheSinisterheroes9 ай бұрын
The gods are so tangible in D&D that it works really well. A redemption motive is a great way to make an adventurer. Thats some one who will want to do the right thing and help others when they get the chance. Good or evil that’s almost an essential need for a character.
@scottyk17639 ай бұрын
@@TheSinisterheroes also was thinking he could of created so much devastation in his former life and have that sort of come back to bite him. I just can't tell if I want this shift to be chaotic evil to lawful good or to just neutral. A Monk build in my mind could be either or. Possibly the route of paladin would be pretty sweet also.
@TheSinisterheroes9 ай бұрын
There’s a lot of great choices for the class. In truth you can make almost any class work. The way I make characters is I come up with who they are and then from there go into a class. It just comes down to who do you want to be

@@TheSinisterheroes the issue I keep running into is trying to combat such a evil vile history and through amnesia or possibly magic (idk yet). Just be able to be the polar opposite. Almost would have to make them this sort of Martyr of sorts. So many possibilities

Your character could just be different. Maybe they were young and some adventurers went to stop your tribe snuck into your tent when you were a child and said some epic thing like, no child should be punished for the sins of there father, I hope you can bring about peace in your day. Then put there weapon away and just walked out got murdered for your tribe and one day on the battle field you killed somebody who kinda looked like them and those words rang in your head like a bell and you looked around and realized you didn’t want this. Sometimes you need to sin to make amends

I had Half-orc that was basically a Thug and I RPed him exactly that way. He was 6 Champion/10 Scout when campaign ended. Strength based, Piercer and Medium Armor Master Feats. Wielded a pair of short swords that I called long knives. Simple build but brutally effective and pretty mobile. Crit on a 19-20 for 4d6 weapon damage providing steady above average damage output outside of Sneak Attack. Not even close to being my most complicated or most powerful build but sometimes you just want to relax and not have to overthink anything ya know lol
