This brought tears to my eyes. My father fought in Germany for my home here in the States, but he also fought for Britain to keep her free. God bless the veterans that came out on stage, they most certainly deserved to be honored. A beautiful performance of a beautiful song. Thank you, ladies.

Across the globe in the Philippines, as a child, our WW2 veteran dad and mom loved these songs. We even had records of (Dame) Vera Lynn on 78 rpm. Don't know where they are now. Much more nostalgic other than the songs, is we remember them.

WOW...the singing. And they honor HEROES. Hollywood puts out Marvel movies about 'superheroes.' Here you can see actual Super Heroes who truly saved our planet from evil. GOD bless them all.

My great grandfather killed himself because he could 't cope with the pain. I'm Dutch, so the second worldwar made a great impact here. After the war he went to Australia with his family. But my grandmother fell in love with my grandfather while on vacation here. My great grandparents decided to stay too. They would'nt leave their child alone here. But my great grandfather regretted it. All the fear and pain from the war came back to haunt him for the almost 30 jears he lived here again. A few months before my parents' wedding he took his own life. His wife who took care of him had dementia and was sent to a good nursing home close to home. But my great grandfather lost control. Sadly my family is very religious, and so they banned this family history from their memory out of anger. After 7 years my mother who loved him very much named my brother after him. But no one understood or supported it. I'm glad we have a better understanding of mental health now. But war leaves it's marks forever

I'm in Oklahoma in the middle of the USA. We are waiting a single week to get to our election and if this one goes for trump - I will be so ashamed of this nation - for all the work people did to win WWII - Thank you so much for this video.

In America, the WWII veterans are considered as heroes. But in the UK, the vets transcend that. They saved the country and are rightly considered as saviors.

from Japan. In Japan it is criticized somehow for honoring the predecessors' accomplishments in the last great war. But we can live in modern times so we can fight for the country and after World War II we revived the devastated land and we became Japan as one of developed countries as we do now. I think that this is a person who brought back the efforts and courage of the predecessor. That is why I am proud of my predecessor and I will keep my gratitude forgetting from now on.
