I was there as a member of Placid Lassies maintenance crew, What an experience this was to see these wonderful aircraft's enter such a great venue. The people that came up to me and asked many questions about the aircraft and then relayed their experience of having a father or grand father take them for their first airplane ride on a C47 was magical. I could see in their eyes the joy of not only remembering but also sharing their memories.

They are wonderful aircraft and it speaks volumes that the crews flew their aircraft across from the US to honour the D-Day veterans and those who didn’t make it home . Thank you D-Day Squadron ✈️🎖❤️
