Hello, Foodies Welcome to vismai food!!! today I sharing the Kerala's traditional breakfast recipe vellayappam. The appam is cotton soft and bouncy. Goes well with Spicy Chicken/mutton/egg gravy or you can enjoy it with spicy coconut chutney. The best part of this recipe is there is no oil, appam is cooked on steam.
Traditionally the vellayappam ingredients are ground with toddy, since toddy is not available for everyone i ground the batter with water and fermented it with active dry yeast. I gave the replacement for active dry yeast. The appam recipe can enjoy at any point of time as breakfast, lunch or dinner. And it is suitable for lunch boxes as well!
