Love this sound, and especially the guitar playing. I love it when bands and producers allow the guitar to sound like a guitar; nice and clear in the mix or performance, not flooded with everything else.

I love it. After all these years, Devo's still rocking out with the pyramid hats. I wish I could've been there to see them perform.

Hey there. This is my video and after many years of having it up here, I'm just now getting around to reading some of the comments. Bob 2 was the greatest. He was in spectacular form here along with his bandmates. And let's also not forget original drummer Alan Myers (not drumming here) who passed away a few months ago. DEVO will always be one of my favorite all time bands. I am lucky to have seen this free noontime show in front of SF city hall in 2002. Yes, a friend and I filmed the entire show and I will try and post the rest of it here in the near future. One last tribute… my friend, Joe DiLiberto, who was on the "A" camera passed away in 2007. He was a DEVO fanatic as well. Thanks for watching.

How Devo is not in the Rock Hall of Fame is criminal!! They were war ahead of their time socially and musically. Com;on, if a group like Steely Dan can get in and Devo can't? VOTE THEM IN!!!

Such a great band - so glad they are still around. So kind of them to tour even though they are so busy doing TV and movies. Wish Danny Elfman was half as cool and dedicated to his fans.

On this day in 1980 {June 21st} Devo's video of "Girl U Want" was previewed on the late Dick Clark's American Bandstand... The single never charted in the U.S.A.; but did reached #57 on the United Kingdom's Singles chart... Fourteen years later in 1994 it was covered by Robert Palmer; and just like the original his version reached #57 on the United Kingdom's Singles chart... Robert Palmer passed away on Sept. 26th, 2003 at the young age of 54... R.I.P. Mr. Palmer and Mr. Clark...
Devos hats are called Energy Domes. They claimed that the hat captured energy from the back of your neck and transfered it back into the body. Claiming this is why they can play so many sets on tour etc. They sell them for 30$ online to this day, do they work, um hell no, are they cool non the less, yes... If you are a devo fan.check out two songs search on you tube for Thats Good and Beautiful World.best songs they ever put out (you will recognize one from a target TV ad)

i love how....well....now that they're old and devolved, so to speak, they're still kicking ass, even though the sound doesn't sound tight, while it is. it almost sounds like it's as old and devolved as them, maybe it's just because it's a little slower, and maybe because of the quality of the recording. epic musicians of an epic scale, still not recognized as much as they should've been and should still be though

Well if you want to make a fuss about it, its technically considered New Wave by music historians, which can be related to punk in certain ways

They needed to bump this up a few BPMs. Dragging a little. Tight, sounding good, just a bit slow compared to the original studio version.
