D.I.Y Rust Repair on my Geo Tracker

Looks good! I have a 93. Tha same rust spots but way worse! I had to replace the complete floor drivers side with a new cab mount from Japan! Im working on the rear cab mount now. Same one you showed. Plus i had to make inner rocker panels and im replacing complete outer rockers. Did the passenger side a couple of years ago. Lots of work, but fun challenge. Small lincoln mig welder with flux core.

Did you replace the cross member in front of the gas tank?

I didn't fully replace it, I did brace it, but I didn't show it because it wasn't quality work.

Do a couple of practice beads first! Mig isn't too hard to figure out, just have to get the settings dialed for the thickness and make sure that what you are welding is a nice clean bare metal

How did u fix the body mount. Close up pic?

I had to take the wheel off, I grinded it to get the rust out, sprayed it with rust converter and welded a scab patch on. Then just covered it with undercoating

When you're looking at the car from the outside, look at the base of the windshield on the driver side.

What seat covers do you got?

Those were some cheap Costco seat covers that wore out super fast. I wouldn't recommend.
