The "1500" means it can support up to 1500 Mbps or total bandwidth. The max for any one connection would be 1201 Mbps on the 5 GHz channel, with another 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz channel, for a total of 1500 Mbps (1.5 Gbps).

Is the app required to set up the device or can I do that through a web interface? And most important of all, does it require an account to use the device? I'm returning a pair of Mercusys extenders exactly because of these kinds of shenanigans, REQUIRING an account, and always going through their servers to manage my device, and only giving the option of doing so through the, very limited, app.

Well I am surpised you did not do a speed test difference for us. I have done speed tests in the rooms where I know need a boost. I am about to set it up and see if it atually makes a difference. This is what people want to know , what sorts of results are we going to expect.

Yes but the setup was not easy at all. I had to go through help desk and log into router and make changes. Very deceptive advertising in regards to installation for my modem anyway which was a standard issue through TPG. Is working well now, speeds went from 19 to 45 with a 50Mb/sec download speed. ( Australia has crappy speeds )

Shit product... At least it doesn't work in Norway... did the Norwegians change the program... did they. ? it mostly DOESN'T work... Bad app programming doesn't work.. the password on the product does not support the program system when programmed... (I did it) It works for a week... and then the signal booster doesn't work...
