Connect the eithernet cable from the laptop to LAN ports either 1,2,3,4 is must. And disconnect wifi signals in the laptop.

It is mordem! Can be used only as wired repeater! I have 2750U V1, it doesn't work for mordems! Obly DIR's have that enabled! DSL don't have this feature! Also the interface is wrost!

I have the same router you have as repeater and I am also going to use the same router as repeater but there's a problem, my AP has ip 192.168.1.1 so I used 192.168.1.2 for the Extender ( D-link ) but after doing exactly what you did I can only access my AP router which is Netis router and has ip 192.168.1.1 but can't access the range extender D-link router . I don't know how it occured , the D-link router now has the ip 192.168.1.1 which is the ip of my AP router , as a result i can only access the AP router , not the D-link extender router . I have done reset three times but got the same result . Please help if anyone can 🙁 .

Hi AGTinfo2U, Ive got a D-Link DIR-400. I've been trying to use it as a repeater but with no success. Once i disable the DHCP, the router gets a different autoconfigured IPv4 address and I can no longer access the router with the given address in order to continue with the setup. Please assist

@@ashtamkarj Meaning that it gets masked along with the main IP router and doesn't show up but Is a part of the network now. You can search in your wifi devices and connect to this router and check for the internet working. It surely will.

Thank you for the video. I have tried this method and it's working. But the extender has very poor speed. I have used a 30 Mbps connection and the WiFi extender has only 6Mbps as the maximum speed. If am making the D-Link as the main WiFi router, it will have 30 Mbps speed. Can you let me know why this is happening? Do I need to do anything additional settings from my end?
