6月29日にキキママが次男を出産したため、リキちゃんはジュリーさん、チェリアちゃんと同居でした。キキママのいない放飼場でリキは大鳴きし、警戒したジュリーさんはチェリアを守りました。

Kiki had a baby boy on Friday June 30th. Riki is now separated from her and is miserably crying. I wonder how & when Riki will meet his lil brother. There is a naming contest for the new lil guy. Look on the Tama Zoo website. There is a pic of Kiki holding her baby. Read the comments underneath and you will see the 5 names they have to choose from. My ❤ is breaking for Riki. Cheri definitely wanting to take advantage of the opportunity to play since Riki is crying and off to himself. But over protective Julie is not allowing her to play today. Julie Loves her lil girl & i LOVE watching them.

When the child is separated from parents by any animal, it breaks my heart in the voice which is stricken by the loneliness and the sadness. I can't understand the person who denigrating it... Don't you cry?? If so, you are the one who does not know the love of your parents. A person who has no human heart. All the children of Orang, who are made to separate from their mother, all squeal in this way. It is not only Riki. He's still five years old.

Awe..... You can see a tear fall from his face at the 4:00 minute mark. He is worried sick. I have never heard an orangutang cry so vociferous. Some infants a little but nothing like this. It's almost blood curdling.

Lee C Definetely something wrong with Riki. Valentine clobbered him goid on July 2nd. Not only his screaming and carrying but he seems to be favoring his one side. At the end he looks so sad. Not his out going bullying sekf. Julie seems to be extremely protective of Ceria too. Hard to tell from the little snippets of what really is going on.

I think I know the reason for Riki's screaming and that's why his mother Kiki is not in the outer enclosure either. Riki got a sibling. Kiki got a baby on 29. 06.2018. That's why everyone wants to go back in so fast.

@@debstanton7711 Hi Deb - I miss talking to everyone as well. I Always enjoyed reading your posts and I have learned a lot from you. I have been curious on what you think about Loki & Kiki ! What do you think of LiL Loki? I wonder if he will ever crawl? He is quite content on just kicking back in Kiki's arm's. Kiki really is enjoying being a Mommy this time and is not pushing Loki to crawl or learn anything new. He will be a year old at the end of June. I have never seen any Mom Orangutan and their baby act like this. Loki does not seem interested in exploring & getting some independence from Kiki.

Riki is still young here and still needs his mother for comfort and security just as Wild orangutangs that stay with their mother up to 8 years perhaps even up to 10 as far as we know. A zoo has got to be the worst place to house animals period!!! It's a money making scheme and that's it. The animals welfare is usually just met with the bare or less than minimum provisions needed for their natural growth. My issue here is that these are highly intelligent animals and also Kiki was brutally raped by the male in the zoo when she was still too young and not even developed to full maturity. Her childlike antics are a dead give away. When Kiki had Riki she didn't know what to do and often gave Riki up so she could go off and play while the others Julie, gypsy and even Valentine babysit and raise Riki. If it was not for those other females in here, I shudder to think how he would have turned out. The zoo did it again by having Kiki forced to mate with the male which I could only imagine was another rape. She hates him and runs at the sight of him through the bars when they open it for the little ones to see their father. So,e males are violent when mating is concerned and very few are calm mating sessions from the male having a soft spot for a particular female. So since Kiki is off with Loki now, Riki is going through growing pains that was forced upon him by this shitty zoos policy because baby animals make money when the visitors go to see them. This is why I hate zoos and will never support them ever.i would rather see these apes in a proper sanctuary.where they can be free to roam above the tall trees and nesting in them instead of straw and cold piss su concrete floors.

Shame on the zoo for doing this to Riki!!! Separating him from his mother like this. This zoo really fucked up here. Riki is only 4 years here. They first forced Kiki to mate with the aggressive male when she wasn't ready mentally yet. She wasn't ready and they forced her. She was molested by the big male and had Riki. She wasn't a real good mother to Riki. She did what she needed but he had Julie, gypsy, chappy and Valentine to get the emotional stability from them cause kiki's was off playing dress up or folding cloths up. Then they do the same dam thing and force her to mate with the same brute only 4 years after having Riki. You can see how she reacts when the gate is open and the big male is visible. She is scared shitless just at the sight of him and runs and hides. Orangutangs mate when they are good and ready and Riki is only 4 and not yet weaned from his mother to be separated. Forcefully separating him like this is a piss poor way. At the end of the day this zoo is just making babies so that more people come to visit. It's all about money for the owner. Period!!! Shameful!!!
