This looks like a well designed system and very simplified to operate. Building codes should make this mandatory on all new construction or anything built in the last 10 years. Video is very informative you take enough time to help people without the knowledge to understand what this does.

My house has a recirculation line. There are motion sensors in the house which start tge pump fir about 2 minutes when there is motion and then shuts off. There is a flow sensor as well to detect when something like a washing machine and dishwasher is needing hot water (since the appliances do not move to activate the pump). So I'm not running 24/7. Not sure something like this would save me anything

Do I need a one-way check valve on the cold water line coming into the house to prevented from going back to the street ?

You can’t push water back to street unless you’re making water or street water looses pressure. It will circulate within your system.

If returning water to the city water system was a big concern the plumbing code would already require back flow preventors on you water line.

A return line with a check valve will do the same thing without a pump.

And how does that work?

I am interested in a comparison between this and other recirculating pump systems and under sink water tanks.

Don't do it,get a dedicated loop.

why not regulate builders to install water pump before building approvals. Hello Arizona and California!! Wake up and save the planet's water.

Already a law since 2018 in ca new construction. Need low cost for all the old houses

$624 plus tax. That is really expensive. There are a less costly amount.

Geez, what a gas bag. This guy can really drag out a simple system

I have a DR Horton new construction home in Auburndale Fl and they built them very cheap ,no bells or whistles. So don't brag about Horton homes.

I like many of the features and may even get one. My guess is the payback here in MN is going to be more like 10 years. I can do better than that with an IRA. My gas bill is $700 a year. Maybe a 1/3 of that is hot water. It wouldn’t save anything in gas usage over running water down the drain. The only thing it saves is water. There might be some savings with the dishwasher getting gas heated water over it’s internal electric element. Operating costs would be minimal. A pump that is triggered on by the temperature on an insulated return line wouldn’t cost that much more to run if on a timer.

Needs to practice his elevator pitch. Man, way too much talking especially at a trade show. I’ve been researching systems as I have an issue with kitchen faucet far from tank. Not sure if I like this system as pump is on living floor risk of leaking and there will be a motor/pump noise.

Pump noise would be short. Watts pump at HWH may be a better fit for you.
