Hey bro I'm really luvin your style. I came up playing electric guitar as a teen in the early 80's but after moving back and forth between California and Hawaii in the early 90's I ended up selling off my electric gear and I've been content playing my Flamenco guitars for the last 30 years. So I recently bought an electric guitar (after 30 years) and I'm really diggin all of these backing tracks... and your style is super inspiring!!

I can't remember exactly how I came across your jam tracks but enjoy them immensely. I think I was looking for a demo on a particular guitar. In any event, they are great practice tools for sculpting your musical expression! I am going to have to submit my contribution to this one or maybe the Cm funk jam, that one is awesome too. Thanks Quist for all your effort to post these. I and many others I'm sure, really appreciate it!

Thanks for you backing tracks they are really great. But I think you should play you solo at the end of the video, because I think for a lot of people it is really frustrating to play on a backing track after they heard what you played on it. Everything I play after just sounds garbage and that really demotivates me.

SO I'm no really savvy theory wise, but I was playing in Dm in pentatonic pattern one and was able to also play in Am in pentatonic pattern one, and would into pattern's 2-5 without sounding off. Why is that if anyone can tell me please. Had a lot of fun I will say.
@darknightmike10yearsago7 жыл бұрын
It is because he plays an A Major, not an A minor
@gazineyes5 жыл бұрын
Hi I can, it is because Dminor where the song is derived from uses either D E F G A Bb C (Aeolian minor mode) or D E F G A B C (Dorian minor mode). Minor pentatonic makes sense but Aminor pentatonic has A C D E G which fits in Dminor
