I'm warning you ladies when you get to pt4, don't be shocked. It's slim Shady-esqe, but funny and fun. Ren wrote and performed this one when he was 19 while he was working on his 1st project with Sony before he got too sick to continue. Love that your still going on your Ren journey. 💚💗💙💜😊

Ren has so many songs that are perfect for road trips and this is one of them, it's just such a chill vibe. I hecking died when Andrea said Jesus would come back before you guys get through all the songs and then she randomly chokes on her own spit poor thing. You guys are so funny though, usually I skip through all the videos I watch and just catch brief moments but I never skip anything you guys do cause there's always comedy in those moments. This song is from about 14 years ago - before he got sick. He was so young and so full of ambition and hope, but he was also obviously incredibly talented even then. And wise too. Great song

Yes, "Love Music" was first released just shy of 14 years ago. The first version was released on Ren's original @renlovemusic YT account on 28 July 2010. That was exactly 5 months before his friend Joe Hughes took his own life. The original beat was a remix of the Ratatat song "Loud Pipes". Below, I'll include a link to the original version. In fall 2011, Ren and producer Eric Appapoulay created the arrangement for the version that's on "Freckled Angels", with Ren on guitar, Charlie Fowler on bass, and session drummer Cassell the Beatmaker. There are a few videos with live performances of "Love Music" in 2012. Below, I'll include a link to a show at an Adidas store in Manchester, on 28 June 2012, after Tommy Frampton joined as their drummer. He was misdiagnosed as bipolar until 2011, when his diagnosis changed to ME/CFS. For the first 3 years, his health wasn't bad enough to actually stop his music career, because he could still push through it. Then he had a breakdown in August 2012 and had to move back to his family home in Wales. He moved to Brighton in fall 2013. He partially restarted his career in fall 2015, but he didn't really get going again until summer 2017, after his second stem cell treatment in March 2017. Strictly speaking, he lost about 5 years to illness between 2012 and 2017. However, since he wasn't at full capacity in 2009-2012 (he described it as like living with a perpetual flu combined with a hangover, with occasional periods of exhaustion and pain), he considers it 8 years lost, and usually in interviews he rounds it up to a lost decade.

I love your genuine reactions. One of the commenters suggested that you broaden your range of artists. I don’t disagree, but, I think emphasizing NF and Ren is OK, because they are both deep wormholes, most especially Ren. You have been interspersing other artists, so it is a good mix.
