This is what you classify as a masterpiece. I have been waiting for this one for so long. I got in my PJ's, grabbed some Popcorn and watched in 4K on the Big TV. The tears are so vivid in 4K. This song is an emotional roller coaster. Ladies, this was worth the wait. Great reaction!

I literally cannot handle how good this song is. I feel like every time I listen to a song off this album it becomes my current favorite, but this one has always been right up there at the top for me and is probably my actual favorite lol the next song is my favorite lyrically though, and the way I am so excited yet so sad that the song is finally up next is kinda wild lol I’ve been waiting for this for a long while so I’m stoked for you guys to hear it, but it’s also one of the saddest songs I’ve ever heard so I’m sure I will just sob through your entire reaction, even if yall are emotionless 😒 I say this every time but I physically don’t think I can wait a whole week for this next ST video. This is the one instant where my crappy memory is useful since I will instantly forget the ST journey even exists and then next week when I see the notification I will be so ecstatic 🤩 I think these videos are like rapid dopamine detoxes since I get so insanely excited for however many minutes it is and then once it’s over it’s like, “welp, now what do I do?” 😭 kinda like how child stars end up using drugs since they had constant mental and emotional stimulation during the most influential years of their life and it screws up their baseline so once their fame dies down they no longer have the constant rush of dopamine they are used to so they become depressed and the substances can give them that rush back, so these videos are basically what it was like to be Hannah Montana. ANYWAY, this is a great song 😭 and im very sorry.

This is one of my favorite sleep token songs. The next one is amazing as well. I truly hope you guys get to see them live one day. girlfriend and I saw them on the first night of their US tour, and they played a chunk of songs from all 3 albums, in order, and as much as I love the previous albums, especially Sundowning, these new songs were beyond words to hear and feel live. every song from the new album made the venue feel like it was about to lift off into space lol, just the most powerful and fulfilling feeling I've ever felt from a band live. this song especially with the full band and the "you make me wish I could disappear" part. Vessel singing his head off and everyone singing along was just bonkers.

Ever since I first heard The Summoning, I needed to check out the entire album. This song in particular made me realize that this band is more than just a band, it's a pure experience. They have become my all time favorite band, and I have even went so far to get "Take Me Back To Eden" in their runic code tattooed on my forearm. It is so hard to pick a favorite off of this album but this one is definitely very high up there for me. It is a journey and an experience. Super heartbreaking too but so good. I just knew Andrea would cry during this one at some point haha but it does the same to me. Also you guys’ facial expressions and audible reactions at each turn of the song was so entertaining cause like same 😂 As far as that good ol’ Sleep Token “feel a certain way” trick I’d say the rap/r&b part checks that off! In the live versions of the songs, IV(guitar player) does the backup screams. He's awesome at it. If you react to Rain find a live version of it and listen. IV also was brought on stage by bring me the horizon to do the song antivist. The live songs also feature a small group of women who do some harmonising vocals. They also add an extra layer to the songs.

The music theory behind that piano line is it gives you a feeling that it is eternally ascending. And he says the words eternal ascension during it....Also when he says "glitches in the code" the added a glitch in his voice. Just the finer details that make sleep token who they are.

Chills every.damn.time. Bloodsport is still my personal favorite but it took awhile for it to be at Acensionism out of the best song in my top 5. The emotion in both of these songs rips at my heart strings. Nobody ever calls out the quiver in his voice when he says "setting me free". It's like he knows what he has to do but he's afraid to do it as most people lean to him thinking of taking his life to break free of the emotional prison he's in. I can only imagine someone in an abusive relationship saying the last line more often than not; "You make me wish I could disappear". Chills,chills,chills man. That and they say that line in concert more clearly than they do with the pause in the song where it repeats "diamonds in the trees, pentagrams in the night sky", at about the sixth or seventh time he says it but it's slowed down and hard to understand if you aren't listening for it. So much in this song to hear every time.
